Folks may think when it comes to dragons it's all meat, meat and more meat. But having a full bowl of ramen is just one of those wonderful pleasures in life, leaving a warm and happy feeling in your belly as you laze about for the next few hours.
So when this place opened in my territory we had to check it out. Took our hatchling with us as well and sat in the restaurant for lunch.
We had a Tonkatsu Ramen, Miso Ramen, and the beef with broccoli. Both ramen were presented really nicely, full of noodles and the accoutrements you like to see. Special call out to the pork in the ramen it was exceptionally tender. So nice to have a local ramen place, and if you like things on the spicier side just have to ask and they will hook you up.
The beef and broccoli dish was equally flavorful, they called it a small bowl but it still came with fried rice and was quite the hefty portion. Hatchling really enjoyed it as well.
So get over there and support this place, plenty of space to eat inside or grab it and go. But if you're having ramen you really should limit how long the noodles sit in the broth so do yourself a favor...
Read moreThis restaurant specializing in Japanese and some Chinese dishes is located within a strip mall at the far end of the CVS pharmacy, a few minutes drive from the Main Street. The small restaurant is nicely decorated and appears modern, despite the use of takeout pamphlets as menus.
Our service was amazing, very attentive! The server was very friendly and refilled our water as needed. We ordered Kani salad and shrimp shumai for appetizers, peppers with onions and fried rice, and salmon and shrimp hibachi with fried rice for entrees. The appetizers were very tasty and a decent price point. The hibachi is not done on the table, but in the kitchen, and the fried rice isn't the best I've had (onions not very grilled), but it is accompanied by 2 side sauces - a nice touch.
The place would make a good, quiet place for a date or a business meeting. Not sure if BYO, but may be as they do not serve alcohol. Would recommend to others looking for a Japanese/Chinese food restaurant in the...
Read moreWent here with my boyfriend, we each got the tonkontsu ramen, fried rice, and shumai. Our waitress, Annie, was nothing short of the greatest, she was friendly, attentive, and willing to chat. She worked very hard, never saw her not doing anything, whether it was running to other tables, bringing food out, or ringing out togo orders she was on it, with a smile the whole time. Shumai was the best I've had, tonkontsu ramen was absolutely delicious especially with the chili oil Annie had brought us. Fried rice with the yum yum sauce ( again the best yum yum I've had, brought by the lovely Annie) was absolutely divine. The whole experience was certainly something to write home about. I do not live remotely close to here but I would make the drive any day, for the friendly atmosphere, delicious food and cozy little restaurant. Thank you to Katzu Kitchen and Annie especially for making our date night experience absolutely amazing. If you go leave Annie an amazing tip, she sure...
