This Place Feels Illegal with How Good the Deals Are
I walked in thinking I would grab some fruit. 15min later, I was standing in what felt like a plant paradise with my jaw on the floor. No joke. If you care even a little about plants or getting wild value for your money, this place is going to change your life.
I am talking full size, healthy, gorgeous plants you would normally find at fancy garden centers for $50-$60 going for $10. And not sad little leftovers either. These are thriving, Instagram worthy beauties. I did not even know I needed plants until this market showed me I did.
Q: Where do the real ones buy plants in Walnut A: Right here. Diamond Fresh Farmers Market is like a secret jungle waiting to be discovered. They have a full acre vibe going on, packed with every kind of green goodness you could want. Top tier indoor legends like fiddle leaf figs, snake plants, and monsteras. Outdoor stunners that will make your backyard feel like a resort. It is ridiculous in the best way.
And here is the thing, everyone else is right too. The fruit? Insane. Dragon fruit, graffiti eggplant, giant pomelos, papaya trees. The prices make your wallet feel like it just leveled up. And the vibe? Pure warmth. Real people. No rush. No pressure. Just that sweet mix of community and discovery.
But back to the plants. I have never seen this much quality green for this cheap anywhere in SoCal. And I have looked. It is the kind of thing you do not believe until you see it. You think you are just popping in for oranges and suddenly you are Googling how to take care of a calathea because now you own one.
Pro tip: Clear your trunk. Bring a buddy. Bring cash. Get there early. The gems go fast and the regulars know what to grab. You will thank yourself later.
Final Verdict: Diamond Fresh Farmers Market is not just a spot. It is an experience. It is where smart shoppers, plant lovers, and deal hunters all win at the same time. If you are in Walnut and not hitting this place up, you are robbing yourself of one of the best hidden gems in the area.
Now go grab that ten dollar jungle starter kit and...
Read moreI look forward to going to this market for produce, and I'm always happy to find plenty there. Unfortunately I have to abuse the 1-star lowest rating because of the few bad apple employees. The woman at the check out around 11am yesterday bagged my groceries so carelessly. She put squishy fruit at the bottom, and in the same bag with solid heavy items, as if it's not common sense to keep soft items together or put them on the top. The fact that she was so comfortable with damaging the items I paid for showed she's ok with robbing her customer. Another employee saw me help a customer catch her runaway cart and responded by trying to run me over with his dolly. But the cherry on top was that me and a clerk who helped me while shopping let that cashier know I needed help with my heavy items, but the cashier's response was that I could go track down one of the men to help. In other words, it's not her problem to solve, but mine. The clerk who helped me earlier just said she'd do it, and she did. All I can say is that so many people say they pray for a better world, but when it's time to show basic decency, they make a clear choice for what they wouldn't like done to them when the shoe is on the other foot. I'm sorry that the helpful employees have to be associated with the...
Read moreWe recently had a very upsetting experience at Diamond Fresh Farmers Market.
Today, My son was carrying a watermelon when he slipped due to what we felt was a wet and slippery floor. There were no visible warning signs at the time. The watermelon was accidentally dropped and cracked.
The person who claimed to be the owner insisted we pay for the damaged watermelon, even though the conditions may have contributed to the accident. We were charged $45, even though the receipt only showed $41. No explanation was given at checkout, and the extra $4 was only explained after we questioned it.
When we raised concerns, the staff spoke to us very rudely and even withheld the items we had already paid for. We had to call the police for assistance. Thankfully, the officers helped us recover our purchases, but we were told that legal action would be needed if we wished to pursue the matter further.
This was a very uncomfortable and stressful experience. Based on how we were treated, we do not plan to return and cannot recommend...
