Westgate Park — Attraction in Dothan

Great park with lots of different things to enjoy! Walking trail is mostly dirt while the pathed area is for bikers. Some points of the trail you share the road way with bikes which was no issue. The path is mostly shaded besides the area by the tennis complex and water world etc. The park features an outdoor gym, BMX park, bike path, walking path with alternative path options, tennis and more. Be aware of our 8 legged friends if you are scared of spiders they are out there. It was a beautiful day and it was not overly crowded. I do think the trail would be more manageable with a jogging stroller (I used my mockingbird and it did ok). The park is well taken care of and the bathrooms are CLEAN! The bathrooms also feature a changing station for babies that was clean as well. 5/5 we will be back again soon and it was worth the drive...

I take my son every week if not every other week to the play ground..I wish we had shade for the seating parents use there is one table that is shaded every other seat is on the sun..also wish we had a mist in the playground so kids won't over heat but a good water bottle helps. Beautiful park , and definitely go visit water world. The community center is wonderful and has a indoor pool and the library is terrific lot to do in this park, soft ball, volley ball, tennis, swim, bike rides, running trails and the list continues..please add so shade for parents in the playground and a Misty system it will be worth...

The hot tub area USE TO be enjoyable. It gets so HOT in there and NOW, within the last week, they won't let you leave the door propped open for air!! You CAN'T use the jets or it gets so hot you can't breathe! I don't know who the new management is there but they should go sit in there for 15mins and see how hot horrible it is! Everyone I've talked to who are using it said they NEVER had issues b4 with the door. It makes no sense. It's not hurting anything to leave it open for 10 mins at a time to get air.
