I had the pleasure of experiencing some truly exceptional hospitality that left me deeply moved. I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina, and I drove down so that my 10-year-old granddaughter could visit her best friend on Friday, June 20th. My granddaughter is on the lower end of the autism spectrum and has sensory sensitivities, so long car rides and crowded places can be overwhelming for her.
When we arrived, she had a bit of a sensory overload and started to shut down right away. I had her sit down on the benches across from the registers while I tried to help her calm down. After a few minutes, I approached the register and explained the situation to the young lady working there, asking about their policy for exiting and re-entering the building. To my surprise, she immediately offered to turn down the music to make things easier for my granddaughter, something no one had ever suggested before. Though I didn’t feel it was necessary at that moment, I was blown away by her kindness.
Not long after, the manager on duty came over to check on us. She was incredibly sweet and, again, offered to adjust the music or even provide a quiet party room for my granddaughter if she needed a peaceful space. The genuine compassion and concern for my granddaughter’s well-being completely floored me. I couldn’t believe how attentive and understanding they were, especially given the situation.
Thanks to their care and thoughtfulness, my granddaughter was able to recover and fully enjoy the rest of her time there. It was such a relief to see her having fun after such a rocky start. I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable.
From now on, whenever we’re in the area, we’ll definitely be stopping by for a skate night. You’ve earned a loyal customer, and I’m so grateful for the compassion you showed us. Thank you again for making such a positive impact on our visit!
I just wish I would have gotten but to their name so I could have given them the shout out they deserve hopefully they'll see this and know who they are and know that again I was totally moved by...
Read moreHas my son bday 3D Glow party here..I tend to go all out and decorate with led flashing ballons, I donated my glow table clothes to Fun Zone, and allowed them to post him party pictures on their website and social media to show what investing in decorating can do to the already cool party room. It was the most expensive package they offer and it includes everything u can do at fun zone but since I don't give junk toy gifts alot of my invest was in the favor boxes..my son has a party every other year so I invested about $500 with the party package, my decorating, favor boxes, cakes, ice cream stand, lollipop stand for a party of 12 kids..also we was told we was the first family to play music and use confetti at a fun zone party hard to believe what is a party without music..I do suggest creating a play list it made my life so much easier..I say all of this in hopes to encourage other parents to have parties at fun zone and to invest in the party if u can the 3d glow room is a great party room and it is different from the regular glow room..great canvas to work with..I brought decorating items and favor goodies for about 2 months slowly leading up to the party I'm a working mom and it took me, a wonderful party hose Kennedy, and 2 parents help to get the room ready but the turn out was terrific everything I brought was used..I would attach pictures but my son is in them and since this sight won't let me post video I can't really show u the effect of the 3 d glow room but if video could be attach I would so u could see the led balloons flash and the room design with a little investing good example is the room doesn't come with table clothes but u brought glow table clothes and I donated them to fun zones they really make the room setting so if u have a party there and see glow table clothes no need for a thank u it was my pleasure hope u enjoy it...be well...
Read moreI wish I could vote less than one star. Took my 4 kids for my daughters birthday. Stood in line for the first 20 minutes to order food which was fine until I got to the front of the line and they said they were not taking any food orders right now because they were too backed up. No sign posted or anything. Ok fine when will I be able to order food? Waited about 45minutes got back in line for another 15 minutes or so, when they refused to take my order again. I had 4 hungry kids so I went and got them chicken nuggets from things and wings down the road, and the owner caused a scene about bringing outside food in to eat after refusing to take my order twice. Then made us leave for bringing in food. I didn’t leave without getting my money back, and everyone I stood in line with both times all were agreeing they would never waste their money there again. The problem was not that they were short staffed. The issue I had is that the owner of the establishment herself refused to even take my order for food the first time. The second time I asked to just put in my order so I wouldn’t have to stand in line again. I was fine with waiting. But to charge what they charged us, Refuse to take my order twice, and then came and got an attitude with me And my family about bringing in food. Woman sucks at running this place. Wish there was another skating rink around here because our family loves to skate together, but I will never give that woman another dime or a moment of my time. And I feel like I should add I didn’t bring in arms fool of food. I brought in one Togo box of chicken nuggets and we were sitting at the table minding...
