I remember when this mall was being built during my childhood and how I shopped there as a teenager. It used to be a great place, but it has really gone downhill. The upkeep is terrible, with filthy carpets and a dire need for pressure washing and other maintenance. Security is virtually nonexistent, which is concerning given the behavior of some of the kids who frequent it now. Most of the stores are disappointing, except for longstanding ones like Old Navy, Buckle, H&M, and DTLR. The vendors selling shoe cleaning services and scented oils are particularly annoying, constantly hounding customers. No one enjoys being pressured to buy something they don’t want. This mall is quickly deteriorating, and changing to West End. The owners need to make significant changes quickly or repurpose the space into something more beneficial. It's sad to see such a once-beautiful place decline so badly.
Update from 9/21/2024: The only reason we came to this mall was because my brother was looking for a specific shoe. When we got to the mall, I personally had to use the restroom. The restroom near Macy’s, you could smell outside, it made me sick and I couldn’t enter. So, we walked up to the food court and they are remodeling the restrooms on that end. The only other place was regal cinema. So, we walked to regal where there were two security guards and a regal employee. I asked if I could use the restroom and I was told, “The restroom was for paying customers for regal and I had to buy a ticket to use the restroom.” I had to buy a ticket to pee? He then said, “You can walk to the one by Macy's.” I advised him the restroom was filthy, rank and it was a no. He said you have to buy a ticket. My brother and I told him that we wouldn’t be spending a dime at regal nor arbor place anymore and we left. If I were an elderly individual or one who had issues with holding their bodily functions, this would have been an issue. If you barely have anyone cleaning the bathroom you have open to the public and there’s only one bathroom open, how is this ok for the amount of people who frequent the mall at the same time? If there’s just one restroom for the masses, remove the ridiculous pay to pee policy at regal or there will be some big issues...
Read moreI am going to add three stars because of the playground area that I, as a parent of two toddlers, use. The rules of the playground areas is that every kid needs to take off their shoes and I have seen kids with their shoes on.
The biggest problem I personally have is to see older kids there, where they need to be playing sports (or with kids their age)... not with toddlers or little kids, that's a big NO!!!. Today a big kid kept on messing up with my toddler's hat (tossing it off his head) while his mom was on her cellphone on a long call. This play area is simply not designed for kids his age. In fact, there is a rule about kids being a certain height and that rule is never enforced. They got a "mickey mouse" looking blue figure with a ruler so kids could check their height and see if they are allowed to play in there. NO ONE DOES THAT! BECAUSE NO ONE ENFORCES IT.
Heck, I have seen kids taller than me and I am 5' 7. This is not supervised at all. There is also a rule about not running around. I understand this has to be more lax because children are going to run around, I get it. But please keep this area for toddlers and infants ONLY. The other day an eight-year-old kid was running around and knocked my 1 year old to the floor. he just learned how to walk. I know he did it by accident but he is just too big to be playing there.
Where is the Mall Security Team to enforce this? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
If you take your kids on a busy day, well you better watch them closely and stay on top of them. If your kiddos are little ones, my advice is to take them somewhere else or go in the morning around 10.30am. Well, now you know.
UPDATE: I have observed the mall security guard and staff control the play area and even preventing some big kids to run around in lieu of protecting younger children. Thank you, Arbor Place family. I am updating you...
Read moreDTLR On today, 04/16/2025 at approximately 5:08pm. I made a shoe purchase for my 7 year old son who was standing right next to me at the register. There were 3 people at the register as we approached. No one greeted us initially, one young lady then asked if I needed a shoe size for the shoe in hand. The only gentleman up there proceeded to grab the box with the shoe mate to the shoe in hand from the counter (never addressed us), rand us up and gave me a total. I was never asked if I have a rewards account as I believe this is an option and im sure I have one. The 2nd young lady in glasses with long straight weave, gold necklace that appeared to have a name but I couldn't read it, she is having a conversation with the other young lady and gentleman at the counter and speaking about "blunts" (aka rolled up Marijuana in a cigar which is illegal in the state of Georgia) in front of my 7 yr old child and myself who are customers. Not only were they all horrible when it comes to customer service, my issue is the young lady who thought it was okay to talk about an illegal substance in front of my underage child. (The disrespect) I will be calling this in to corporate as well. Im used to seeing everyone in retail nowadays having poor customer service skills, but can we at least have...
