Before I begin, I just want to say, I think it's shady & not right AT ALL when a doctor, dentist, nurse, etc. will NOT let you accompany your MINOR child to the exam. I've worked in optical 10 years & I could never imagine telling a parent they were not allowed in the exam room with their child.
Okay here we go.. long story short.. by my previous paragraph I'm sure you already figured out that they told me I was NOT allowed to go with my 5 year old daughter at all. I was told to I had to sit in waiting room so.. obviously my 5 year old is not fond of the dentist. She had to get a tooth pulled. She was not cooperating at all so they had to wrap her in one of those stupid things so she couldnt move at all, which was kind of understandable but also, I assume VERY traumatizing for a child. For legal reasons, they had to call me back there while my daughter was like restrained.
Since my daughter was so worked up, she was SCREAMING & I mean SCREAMING the entire time. It broke my heart. I wanted to comfort my baby & let her know I was there. I started to say "it's okay baby ..." & the dentist shot me a look n told me I was NOT allowed to talk to her nor comfort her. They yelled at me when I tried to rest my hand on her leg to reassure her that her mom was there. I totally understand my daughter was NOT an easy patient but to make me sit there & watch my poor child scream & cry because she was scared & not allow me to comfort her, that's not okay with me. My first impression of Dr. Jamie was that she was really nice. But that only lasted a couple minutes. If any mother heard the way she spoke to my daughter throughout this experience, you’d understand my frustration. She was not comforting towards my daughter at all once my daughter started to get upset. My daughter & myself were traumatized that day.
I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY DR. JAMIE MOSS WOULD OPEN A PEDIATRIC PRACTICE CONSIDERING SHE IS TERRIBLE WITH CHILDREN.
OHH!!! & to top it off, they told me my daughter had cavities that needed to be filled & gave me a print out of what she needed. I took her to a different (WAYYYY BETTER) dentist a couple weeks ago and oddly enough, this dentist said and had ZERO cavities. Weird. Cavities don't just fix themselves.
Sorry for this really long review. I just had to get all...

Dr. Jamie Moss and her team went above and beyond to ensure my child's first dental visit was nothing short of wonderful. The warmth started right at the entrance, with personalized welcome signs that made us feel not just expected, but genuinely welcomed.
The office itself is a child's dream come true. The play area is thoughtfully designed, engaging, and, most importantly, fun! It's clear that Dr. Moss and her team understand the importance of creating a positive environment for children. The patient rooms are equally impressive, with vibrant colors that radiate a cheerful vibe and TVs to keep the little ones entertained and relaxed during their visit. These thoughtful touches significantly eased my toddler's apprehension about her first dentist appointment.
However, what truly sets Sweet Tooth Kids Dentistry apart is Dr. Jamie Moss herself. Her knowledge is vast, yet she has a unique ability to break down complex dental terms into simple, understandable language. Read moreDo NOT go to Dr. Moss!! Her bedside manner is horrible. The way she talked to my daughter and me was terrible and super rude!
She was 30 mins late to see my daughter. They brought her back and wouldn't let me back with her, and then, I found out, she was watching TV, and Dr. Moss hadn't even seen her yet.
Additionally, she told me that my daughter needed 2 silver caps on her teeth, and she would have them on her teeth until they fall out in about 10 years. Why would I want silver caps on my daughter's little teeth for ten years! I asked if she could just fill them, and then, fill again if needed, she refused, so we didn't do it. I took my daughter to another dentist, and the other dentist said we should absolutely not do silver caps, as it's not needed and such a bad visual on little kids.
Lastly, they said they would have the quote from the insurance when we got there. They didn't. At the end and since we didn't do any fillings, I asked for them to just send me the estimate from the insurance company, so I went to leave. Dr. Moss rudely said we had to discuss the proposal, but I had already done that with the front desk lady. They don't communicate in there- didn't have a great experience at all. Would never go back.
And to respond to the below: I am extremely confident that I remember exactly what was proposed. I had said I didn't want silver caps, and I was told that's what you do, as you didn't want to treat the tooth twice. Regardless, just trying to give other moms my experience and opinion, which is what this platform is...
