I'm so grateful for a trustworthy repair place for common people that's not in far-flung Pasadena, Hollywood or Long Beach. The previous management or different owners at this address had a lady who went right for the hard sell and I'm like "nah." I'm glad I kept cruising by and tried again after seeing enough to sense this business changed. These owners/ techs are legit!

My 2009 MacBook Pro "17 was incrementally glitching and I'm so glad it acted-up there at eStar Techs on a Friday morning. The tech could have told me that I needed a replacement screen after troubleshooting, but he was honest: it was the connector between the screen and motherboard that was just a bit lose and had some corrosion. A screen replacement was going to be the money suck, but he just cleaned it up so my investment could go towards swapping a messed-up optical drive, swapping a battery that had super high power cycles, and swapping the Hitachi for a SSD to improve speed (therefore responsiveness). It was more than a fair price for parts and labor so to those of us under employed or outright unemployed, paying eStarTechs to extend the life of older devices is a good investment. Absolutely incredible service! My nephew's Xbox had a damaged HDMI port. It’s a very special gift from his late mother, so getting it fixed meant the world to him. We first tried another shop that quoted an outrageous price and said it could take over a week.

Then I called this place—and I’m so glad I did. Not only was the quote much more reasonable, but they also said they could fix it within an hour! We went straight there, and the technician got to work immediately. He didn’t just fix it—he triple-checked everything to make sure it was working perfectly.
