Royal Mansour Moroccan Hammam, Salon, & Spa — Attraction in Dr. Phillips

Purchased a Groupon weeks ahead of travel to the Orlando area. Made several attempts to contact them by phone to schedule an appointment and was only able to leave messages that were never responded to. Sent an email requesting an appointment and noone replied. Arrived in orlando 2 weeks after purchasing Groupon and decided to go in person to the spa to schedule an appointment since we would be in town a week and arrived on a Tuesday at 11:30 am, the door was locked and no one appeared to be inside. Since this particular Groupon refund period is 3 days, Im pretty much SOL.

Update: The next day I missed a call from the spa. I immediately called back and got the voicemail. I left a voicemail and waited 15 minutes for a call back but nothing. Since our resort was 1/2 mile away, I drove there and they were open. Explained this ordeal to her and recommended a solution for out of town Grouponers that cant get them on the phone and need to book. She was apologetic and empathetic and she explained they were completely booked and couldn’t get me in before our vacation ended.

They ended up calling me the next day for a cancellation. I got the Moroccan Getaway steam scrub and it was an awesome experience. Cheryl was my technician and she was very professional and explained every step of the process.

The environment was very clean and culturally decorated. I wanted to purchase some products but my service ended so late and didnt want to keep the receptionist any later. I did go back the next day on our way yo the airport to attempt to tip Cheryl and buy some products but the door was locked.

The front desk did say the spa has been overwhelmed by a viral tiktok video and when they are busy servicing clients and away from the front desk they lock the door.

I would definitely recommend them just maybe secure your appointment online if you don’t...

This place had a truly delightful vibe that made it an enjoyable experience from the moment we stepped inside. My husband and I decided to indulge in a relaxing getaway together for a special date weekend, and this location exceeded our expectations in many ways.

We started our experience by unwinding in the sauna, which provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. The warmth enveloped us, allowing us to let go of stress and simply enjoy each other's company. The calming environment gave us the opportunity to reconnect and relax in a serene atmosphere.

After enjoying the soothing sauna, we moved on to the bathing experience, which was absolutely amazing. The bath was not only incredibly refreshing but also designed to elevate relaxation to a whole new level. It offered a perfect respite from the outside world, and we found ourselves thoroughly immersed in the tranquility of the surroundings. The soothing water, combined with the ambient lighting, created a beautifully serene atmosphere that made the whole experience feel luxurious.

Despite its many wonderful aspects, I do want to mention that the establishment could benefit from a bit of updating in certain areas. However, considering the nature of a place that revolves around water, some wear and tear is to be expected. It didn’t detract significantly from our overall enjoyment, as the charm of the atmosphere and the quality of the services provided more than made up for it.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a refreshing and relaxing experience definitely give this place a try. It was a perfect setting for a date weekend, providing us with beautiful moments together. The combination of the sauna and the incredible bath made for a memorable experience that we would both love to revisit...

Overall was very upset with the experience. I have booked 2 HAMMAM & MUDWRAP SPECIALS for my friend and me. As we have arrived to the place we were sent to change into the same room, which seemed odd to me. In the room they had cabbies with disposable underwear but multiuse sleepers, they looked extremely dirty, we didn’t want to even touch them. After changing we were sent into the hammam and were told that someone will come to us in 10-15 min. Inside hammmam there was no music or essential oils no atmosphere of spa or serenity. It was very echoey and quite as the water was dripping off the ceiling. It had 3 tables with mats on them and very basic blow up pillows that were not comfortable nor they look one time use or properly cleaned. After zero instruction a lady came in to do our treatment. Again I paid for 2 hammams but only one lady came in for two people. So basically my friend and I were laying there waiting as she was switching between the two of us. It was absolutely ridiculous. The special specifically said it includes scalp massage, we got zero of that, instead the lady washed our hair and for “scrubbing” just dig her nails into our scalps. After the “experience” was over we were given simple robes with mismatched rob ties and no towels. We were sent to the tea room and sent to change after that. I was so disappointed with the whole treatment and so embarrassed that I got it as a gift for my friend to spend some girl time and relax. I would not come back...
