I love this property! It literally has everything you would need for a very comfortable, home-like stay. My husband and I traveled to Orlando for a 2 week stay. We needed a comfortable space because he requires four dialysis treatments per week, needing ample space for all of the equipment. We got a one bedroom suite, about 800 sqft. This suite comes with a full kitchen that includes a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher! It also comes with a washer and a dryer. Our suite also included a screened in balcony, though too hot for our enjoyment, it was certainly a wonderful option. The room came with two sinks that were in two different spaces, perfect for each of us to spread out. The whirlpool tub was a luxurious item to have.
When we checked into the resort, we were not informed of the cleaning schedule. Because this is a vacation resort, and not a traditional hotel, they do not service the rooms on a daily basis. This information would have been so helpful upon check-in. And because we were doing our dialysis treatments in the hotel room, we kept missing the services. After a few days, I contacted the front desk to ask about this. She informed me that it was a every other day situation. Then I asked if it was possible to request an evening service. She said yes and we, arranged for specific time frames for this to occur. A few days later, it did not occur. I called down to the front desk to ask about it, and the person I spoke to made it seem that the previous conversation and the scheduled Services were never recorded. He had no idea what I was talking about. Actually, most of the times when I called in regards to servicing the room, they were very quick to dismiss my concerns. Then the person offered to bring a fresh set of towels. Which I accepted and told the person that we were about to leave for the evening. Upon arrival later that evening, I found a plastic bag on the floor of the kitchen with the towels in it. See picture. I've never had towels delivered to my room in such a tacky manner. I called down to the front desk to ask if this is protocol, and the person said yes! My only regret is that I did not write down the names of the people I spoke to.
We frequented the Walt Disney World resort and Epic Universe while we were there. The travel time from our resort was about 20 minutes to either activity.
When we arrived, we ate at the breeze bar. The staff there was not very welcoming, friendly, or informative. When we walked in, no one greeted us so we weren't sure what the system was, so we had to ask. We were told to sit down, scan the QR code and order through our phone. When we received our food, I was very disappointed with the quality. I ordered the ravioli appetizer, and I feel completely duped out of $12. See picture. My husband ordered a drink that did not come out with the food. We asked the server, and she directed us to the bar. My husband went to the bar to fetch his drink, and was met with a lot of questions from the bartender, verifying that we indeed ordered it and paid for it. Shouldn't the bar been alerted once the order was placed?
The most helpful people on property were the ones working security. Jose was the first person we spoke to upon arrival. We needed to make arrangements for my husband's dialysis boxes to be delivered to our room. No small feat because 50 boxes is needed to be moved from their mail room to our room. He asked where I wanted them, and he delivered exactly as discussed. He was quick to present his business card with a direct number to him. We had some issues with noisy neighbors that were dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Security even called the following day to follow up I really appreciated that
Sophie in the Mailroom was also friendly and efficient. However, we were not told there was going to be a package handling fee. Again, would have been nice to have been informed upon check-in, like the cleaning schedule.
Overall, this is a beautiful and extremely affordable property that we look forward to returning for...
Read more2nd stay 4.19.25, Management has completely fell off its rocker. Booked again through 3rd party so didn’t know which property wound up being this, clearly stated free parking and then when got there they argued no all those companies should know it’s not anymore it changed in Jan, I showed them the booking, they came back in a text you can see pictures from Danny P and him/her/it acting like they are doing me a favor by taking charge off but talking to me lol a toddler that they can’t do it again. So lowering my rating to 1. I have several issues with this stay that I'll try to keep short. 1) I booked 2 nights through a 3rd party (hotwire) they were book through 2 separate transactions b/c one night it was just my wife and I, and the second my mother was joining us. The first night the hospitality person, Paul, said he saw I had two nights and was giving me same level of room as higher night b/c, it was available. Instead, I got a 1 br, which was fine I was willing to transition. The problem was the room smelled, had roaches, and looked like it wasn't cleaned well, I had to sick kids (both are under 2) and it was pouring rain, so I notified them of the issue they said they would move me in morning. Come morning housekeeping is banging on my door, I called desk, they didn't have any notes, but could move me to a different building. I had to leave the baby who was sleeping with a monitor and take the other child with me. I put on the "DND" sign on door and went to the office. They were able to give me a room in same building. When I got back to room, they apparently had killed my key despite me telling them both before I went to the office and when I got there, that I was alone my wife couldn’t make it, and I had to move the kids and all our stuff by myself, so obviously it would take a few trips and not to lock a door. I didn't have a cell phone b/c I was walking to the office 2 min away; I was looking for help. I came to maintenance guy, who spoke no English. I tried to speak broken Spanish that my son was in the room he's just a baby and I need to get in, he didn't understand. A cleaning person comes, I ask her, she laughs, and I repeat please let me in b/c I have a baby inside she laughs again. At this point I'm confused why is she laughing, I ask do you understand me? She said I don't speak English, again I try broken Spanish, she doesn't speak that, I point to my daughter and try to gesture I have another child and say my son is inside please let me in, she says no, at this point I’m getting furious. I’m pleading with her to let me in she yell NO, then walks off. Then a third person comes by, again NO ENGLISH at all and won't let me in, finally a security person on golf cart comes by and I tell them the situation and they let me in. It takes 45 minutes to get the key and cleaning person keeps coming by saying they need to clean. I try to tell them what's going on, NO ENGLISH again. So 4 people, directly interacting with customers, who don’t have basic enough language skills to understanad me. Now I know my spanish isn’t great, but someone from another country said to me “My Child Six, is in danger, please help, open room” which is what I said “Mi nino esta aqui (pointing to door) es seis, esta peligro, ayuda por favor, abierto la sala” all I got were NO’s despite having the room key in my hand with the card showing the number and the other room key for new room. The next day, my tire is mysteriously flat with huge hole in it. Hmmm. I call desk and ask if maintenance can help, they say no. I said well I have to get to a store and get a pump, so I leave kids with mother go to Walmart, come back they had left for church, again I’m locked out, it’s after 10am. I call desk from cell, again have to wait. All a nightmare worse customer service. I put in a notification to immigration and ICE today, b/c literally employees who cannot respond to a customer who could be in danger is unacceptable, and to have all of the them unable to do so is...
Read moreI am so confused by the high reviews. Inexpensive doesn’t mean bare minimum standards don’t apply.
Check-in: rude and inefficient. There isn’t a good place to park your car while you check in, so my husband chose to run in while I switched to the driver’s seat and circled the lot. We weren’t even fully out of the car when an employee barked at us that there was no parking. My husband told her we weren’t parking, he was just hopping out. She proceeded to glare at him as he entered the building. Check-in then took far longer than most hotels, and the second my husband said we weren’t interested in the time share presentation, all smiles went away and everyone was rude. Additionally, despite us having had a rental crib and stroller delivered that was obviously too large to fit in any regular car, no one asked if we would need help transporting things to our room.
The room: The only good thing about the room was that it was fairly spacious. It was dated, dark, and dirty; a bowl I pulled out of a cupboard had dried food remnants all over it. Our bedding had a large rip on one side of the comforter. Housekeeping only comes once a week on Fridays, and they didn’t bother to refill the toiletries that are bolted to the shower walls, so we ran out of body wash before our stay was over. For context on how dated the rooms are, halfway through our stay we were informed that our TVs would be switched out for new ones with streaming capabilities. Even true budget hotels have had streaming for a while, and the ones they put in can only get Netflix, not any other apps. The washer/dryer is the smallest I’ve seen in my life (as someone who has lived in Manhattan, world of tiny apartments and tinier washing machines), and as clothing I’ve washed many times without issue suddenly bled colors, I’m guessing their cold cycle isn’t actually cold. Whenever you use hot water, whether in the shower or kitchen sink, it smells like burning gas. The set up wasn’t great for kids (oversized furniture in a small room and not a lot of extra space means lots of extra bumps, lots of lamps due to lack of can ceiling lights means a lot of unavoidable tinkering).
Amenities: The “heated” pool was colder than the air on a 71 degree day. The maintenance man they sent used a literal meat thermometer to gauge the water temp. The towels they provide are thinner than my kitchen rags, and are extremely rough. The grounds are decently tidy and maintained, but nothing special.
Dining: We were frustrated that our toddler wouldn’t eat the chicken fingers. Then we tried them and understood; they were so tough it was difficult to bite through them. The bar near the pool has live music that might sound good if you’re drunk, but if you’re not, you just get to hear it ricocheting throughout your room with all the doors closed, accompanied by music that sounds like a person with no rhythm copying the Enchanted Tiki Room drums. I called the front desk to complain about the noise and was told the drumming sound wasn’t related to the bar entertainment, but it mysteriously stopped when the singing stopped.
Service: Generally really bad. See above re: check-in. The employees seemed miserable, and if you asked anything of them, you got the bare minimum effort. The best was them aggressively knocking on our door like a cop ten minutes before checkout to remind us that we needed to check out. If you are worried people have forgotten about checking out, a ten minute warning isn’t going to do anything, so such an aggressive reminder at that point was unnecessary and annoying since all it did was slow us down.
Location: Fine. It’s at least 20 minutes from the closest Disney parks (potentially farther depending on which park you’re going to) and close to an outlet mall. Not near any good restaurants.
Overall: We would not recommend this hotel to...
