This was our first visit to the restaurant so I can't say whether our experience was typical or not. We were seated quickly and our server came not long after that with menus. She also returned reasonably fast to see if we had chosen what we wanted.
I ordered the Churrasco Angus 18 oz Strip Loin New York style. My wife chose the Churasquito 12 oz New York strip. I asked for my steak to be done rare and she wanted hers done medium rare. It took a long long time for the dinner to be delivered. My steak was medium rare to medium instead of rare and my wife's was medium to medium well instead of medium rare. It's the sort of thing I would expect at a general restaurant but found very surprising for a steakhouse.
And then it took a while till we could catch our server to send the steaks back. The side dishes we ordered, Caesar salad and plantains were excellent. They were long long gone by the time our replacement steaks arrived. And the replacements were done as requested and they were delicious. I just would have really preferred to not wait two times as long to get my steak and would have enjoyed eating all the parts of the dinner together.
To be fair I have to also mention that our server was very apologetic about the overcooked steaks and very sweet overall.
For dessert we chose to share a Tres Leche And it was excellent.
There was one final thing that really irked me. The bill for the meal listed the two first steaks that were returned then the two replacement steaks then a subtotal that included the price of all four steaks and then a reduction of the first two steaks. Unusual but nothing wrong with that. Then below that on the bill was the tax and the total. And at the bottom there was suggested tip. And ALL OF THE SUGGESTIONS WERE BASED ON THE GRAND TOTAL OF THE FOUR STEAKS. You may think differently but I feel that's absolutely horrible and a very deliberate way of programming their system to get unwitting people...

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
We recently dined at Da Silva Steakhouse, and while the food experience was nothing short of exceptional, the service left much to be desired.
Let’s start with the positive: the food. The Parrilla Super Especial was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The sides complemented the main courses beautifully. It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft, and for that, I genuinely commend them.
However, the service was a stark contrast to the quality of the food. Upon entering, we felt neglected as it took quite some time for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Once seated, we found ourselves waiting far too long for our server to acknowledge our presence and take our order and even longer for our food to arrive. Throughout the meal, it was challenging to get attention for refills which we did not get or any other basic requests.
When the time came to settle the bill, I felt compelled to voice my concerns about the lack of customer service. I asked to speak with the manager, hoping to provide constructive feedback. Unfortunately, my experience with the managerial staff did not alleviate my frustrations. While they were polite, it felt like my concerns were brushed off rather than taken seriously.
In summary, Da Silva Steakhouse has the potential to be a top-tier dining destination, especially with their outstanding food. However, significant improvements are needed in their service to match the quality of their offerings. I hope they can address these issues, as I would love to return for another meal—if only the service could be as exceptional...
Read moreSpending the week in Orlando and getting tired of eating at tourist traps? That's exactly what I dealt with this week. But i had a bartender at my hotel recommend this restaurant as being more of a local's spot for great food. He was right. It was absolutely fantastic. It's a Latin restaurant with a lot of Venezuelan selections. However, it's not your traditional steak house that carries around skewers of meat (it's not a Brazilian steakhouse) . No, it's a sit down order-off-the-menu and get great food and great service for a super reasonable price. I had skirt steak with plantains and a garden salad for $35 and it was absolutely fantastic. My business partner had a New York strip (churrasquito) with rice and Caesar salad for $26. Again, cooked to perfection. When we arrived, we were greeted with a dish of sliced sirloin steak with chimichura sauce and it was unbelievably good. The most flavorful and tender sirloin I think I've had. After that starter and welcoming appetizer, we ordered the fried cheese- and I would go back just for that. It was a square of cheese that developed a nice hard fraggy edge that was delicious. We then got the entrees I mentioned before. The meals were very large but I still wanted to try their tres leches cake. It was a large portion and well done but I couldn't eat all of it.
Notably, when I first got there, one of the tables next to us had a ribeye steak. They call it the Da Silva ribeye. It was 30 oz. My partner and I could not have finished the whole thing of we shared. All in all, this is a very good value for a...
