This place seems lovely but I had a really stressful experience here with my wedding nails. I emailed them because I didnāt want to leave a bad review without at least trying to work it out privately. I have never asked for a partial refund before & even if they couldnāt do that I hoped they would at least email me back. So here I am. These are the two emails I sent to no response:
ā I am so sad to be writing this because you all are very kind but Iām just so sad. I spent a lot of money here last Wednesday for my wedding & I loved the finished look of my metallic gold nails! I also did waxing- which was fine & so was my pedicure. I also paid for my little sisters nails- which you photographed since they were so cute! The problem starts after I leave. I get in my uber & not 5 minutes after leaving I slam my nail on the roof of the car by accident (not too hard but enough that I thought it must be partly my fault) & one of my nails popped right off. Never had that happen with gelx since it wasnāt too hard but didnāt want to be a problem customer. So I went to my bachelorette party with a missing nail & instead of getting to rest the morning after my party & I had to go back to your salon to get it fixed which was really really out of my way. You kindly fixed them for free & I was so grateful even if it was a visit I didnāt have time for. I had to rush back to my rehearsal for my wedding. When I get there my little sister (who is not very active or really rough of her nails at all) tells me one of her nails just fell off as well. She does not have time to have it fixed so she just put a bandaid on it. She had a bandaid on my wedding as a bridesmaid. The day of my wedding (Friday) my nails stay on thank god. BUT on Saturday one just peels off- I didnāt bump it or mess with it. I have too much right now to do to drive alllll the way back to your salon. Then yesterday ANOTHER peels off after I havenāt done anything to it. I work as a waitress- a job very very rough on my nails. I bump my nails hardcore at work- like my nails go through a lot of rough work 5-6 days a week! And my gelx nails always last for WEEKS if not a full month. It has been less than a week & my very expensive nails have fallen off AGAIN even though all Iām doing is relaxing. I really donāt want to drive alllll the way back to your salon on my honeymoon here at Disney- and what if they just pop off again? Since it has happened twice in less than a week? Iām gonna be real & say that I would like some kind of refund so I can get my nails re done somewhere that is closer to me. I have never asked anywhere for a refund no matter how bad my experience was. I normally leave a bad review but yall were so nice I didnāt want to leave a bad review before contacting you directly. I didnāt call to talk because I didnāt want to interrupt you during business hours with my long story. If you can get back to me at some point soon that would be great. Thank you.ā Silence. This is the next email I sent: āHey since I emailed you yesterday another nail has peeled off just this morning. All I did yesterday & this morning is sleep to recover from last week. This has never happened before with my gelx nails anywhere else. I hope you can get back to me soon- I will be going somewhere else to get them re-re done again. Hope you are having a nice day.ā
It has been over a week since my appointment on October 23rd. Iām sorry to post on here but I cannot seem to reach yall.
Edit: I looked up your website again and the email says bamboonailsandspao@gmail.com & double checked thatās where I sent it so maybe itās listed wrong on your website? Also, you really didnāt suggest that- I would have listened for sure to my nail artists suggestion! You just did what I asked & thatās fine! But itās not true to say that happened. Itās fine & I appreciate your answer on here. No need to pursue further & good luck with your business. I have changed the review from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBe careful: I went and got a full set and a gel pedicure in the morning and by the evening, my toes were peeling because the gel was not fully cured. Also, my full set had to be redone by another salon because all of my cuticles were flooded with gel polish and top coat. The technician here told me that my cuticles āwere not going to look nice because my cuticles were so overgrownā after doing my nails. She told me I had to ask for a separate service before getting a full set; this should have been discussed prior to her doing the set after seeing my nails. Curing polish on the skin and letting someone walk out with uncured polish on their nails is incredibly dangerous and can cause someone to develop an allergy. I spent over 110 dollars on these services and had to remove my toe polish at home due to the uncured polish. That is completely inexcusable and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in for a simple dip manicure with tips. I am from DC and for this service is usually about $50 with a manicure included. I was charged $75+ tip ($90) for one manicure. I also didnāt receive dip powder! They put something else on my nails and used gel polish to paint over it with no explanation. The woman said it lasts longer. I am already seeing my nails flake off and I got these done only 4 days ago. This place WAY overcharges you. I feel like I got scammed. The location is not nice, it was hot and smelled inside. There was a woman working there who was vaping in my face. There are plenty of other nail salons in the area, choose somewhere else and save yourself the money and get a better experience. Update: I see the business responded to my concerns here. Iām happy to pay, but I did not have any polish on my nails, so there should not have been a...
