Honestly, I had pretty high hopes for this place. Let's be honest, Not many Pakistani restaurants offer interesting items such as butter chicken waffles or nehari burritos. I love fusion cuisine so I was super excited to give this a shot. I've been wanting to eat here for over a year now. I drove over 45 minutes to get to this place just to find out that they decided to open at 2:00 pm as opposed to 12:30, which is their posted hours online and on the restaurant. The reason behind this? They had a catering order so they closed the restaurants. This is not the first time this place has decided to open and close on a whim with no advance warning to their customers. When I got there today, there was a line of over 10 people vacationing here from Atlanta waiting for them to open. I called the restaurant to let them know that their were people waiting for them to open. They still chose not to open the restaurant. They clearly did not care and did offer any apology. Whoever I spoke with on the phone had 0 customer service skills and really just didn’t care. So rude. Seriously I hope someone in management reads this and takes this feedback very seriously. Not professional business practice at all!!!!! Needless to say I won't be returning and I’m sure many more people have shared this experience judging by other reviews My advice to those looking into eating here- call ahead of time and make sure their open and plan on staying open. Or if you don't want to deal with their inconsistency and lack of professionalism; there are plenty of other halal Pakistani restaurants...
Read moreThe only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is that the one time I was able to get food, it wasn't too bad.
I ordered dinner as take out from here about a week ago through Google. My order was accepted, I was provided a time, and I was subsequently charged for my meal. I showed up maybe 10 minutes prior to my expected pick up time and they were closed ??? I tried calling, no answer. So because I was hungry, I went to another restaurant in the same location.
3 hours later, I get a call asking me if I was coming to pick up my order. I explained that I had already eaten and this was WAYYY past when my order was to be ready. The person on the phone tried to explain to me that they come from far away and they were running late. To me, this isn't an acceptable answer when it comes to advertising operating hours, and it's not like I ordered right when they were scheduled to open, so that's not an excuse.
Another person got onto the phone, and reiterated the questioning on if I'm coming in. I said no, there was no reason to. He then stated that they would refund my purchase. This has not happened either. I'll no longer visit this place nor can I recommend it, no matter if I enjoyed my original meal or not. There are too many places to eat in this area and if you cannot properly take care of your customers, or make it right when YOU are the reason for such a poor review, then I won't be doing business...
Read moreI came here with my family which included a total of 15 of us. We had called the restaurant ahead of time because we would reach by 10 the owner Danial was nice enough to allow us to dine in with such a large party. We were driving up from south florida and this was our first time coming to the restaurant. We were all very pleased by the ambiance of the restaurant along with how clean it was and to my surprise the bathrooms were in great conditions. We had asked the owner for his recommendations and what they are known for. We ordered the beef kabab, nihari and chicken biryani everything was fresh and finger licking good. The kababs tasted like the ones from NY. The chutney for the kabab was a bit spicy for me, but that could just be me because I have a low tolerance for spice but overall everything was great. The naans were well made too. We had falooda as dessert which was delicious. The owner is very friendly and honest which is appreciated. Also, this was the only restaurant that was open late I don't know why all indo pak restaraunts close so early especially if Orland is a tourist attraction. I highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to coming back hopefully we can come on a weekend to enjoy the buffet next...
