Slightly odd place, perhaps with designs on being a little more than it currently is. The course is admittedly new (well the redesign at least) and I would generally say it has the potential to be a pretty excellent course and is already good.

The staff are welcoming and friendly although the service is painfully slow, it wasn’t hugely busy when we arrived yet breakfast took nearly an hour to arrive and was pretty poor when it arrived (order the breakfast sandwich, avoid the avocado toast).

As for the golf, the tees seem longish at 6,500 yards but play shorter than that so don’t the put off - the real challenge was the pins which the green keeper had chosen to place in positions which made a mockery of whatever grand plans the course has. In the middle of slopes, places where a missed putt would return 10 feet back to where you hit it etc.

There’s no problem with tough pin positions but this was Micky Mouse crazy golf, so it’s a tough course to take seriously. Let’s hope that changes.

Finally if you’re hoping to have a shower don’t bother, the facilities are laughable and despite the signs to the contrary the clubhouse will claim towels are the responsibility of the Pro Shop (where has that ever been the case) and visa versa, so no towels and one appalling shower. Given that was the last thing we tried there it left a poor taste in what could be an excellent Donald...

I recently played Dunedin which was in great shape and a challenging layout. I thought that was the best part about it, but, I discovered differently. After my round, I forgot my rangefinder in the cart. Since I did not discover it missing until the next day when I had travelled to Orlando for my final round on my way home to Toronto, Canada, I never thought I would see my $350.00 investment ever again. But No! l immediately called the club and spoke to David Williams in the shop, he confirmed they had my rangefinder. He took my information and said they would happily send it back to me, IN CANADA! I received the rangefinder in the mail about a week later. Th postage alone for returning my rangefinder was over $15.00. This, is what it means to be a golf professional! This level of customer care and service, not just extended to members but day players as well. It would have been far to easy for some to just say if I wanted it I could pick it up or it may have not made it into zThe shop at all. Notat Dunedin. Thank you to all from the person on the back shop who must have found it to David who spoke to me and sent it back to John Falcone, the Head professional who clearly runs a club where this is the customer service ethic is practiced and valued. This exhibits the greatness of golf as truly a game of...

I had one good meal at the Fairway Grille, and it only went downhill from there. Maybe it's because I'm a guest and not a member? Do they have secret ways of finding out? My first trip with a friend who highly recommended it was good. I had the grouper sandwich, and it was delicious and juicy and fresh. On another occasion we ordered the beef tournedos and a pork chop entree. Both were dry and flavorless and tough. Back they went for a crock of French onion soup and a burger, and wait for those to be prepared. At least both were edible. Last week we gave it another try and did the burger again (those seemed to be safe) and the salmon wellington. The burger was good, just needed some salt and pepper to bring out the flavor of the meat, but my salmon was still raw inside and had to go back, to be replaced by another burger since it was BOGO for $1.00 Thursday. I, too, had to doctor it up, and though it was supposed to be medium rare, it was a little past and I kept dabbing on ketchup and mayo to moisten it. Then I didn't read the fine print on the bill which included an 18% service charge, regardless of party size, and instead only saw the usual blank space for a tip. On the plus side, our server John was on top of things and other servers were very...

Oh The Club... we love it here! The golf course is great to play. There is just enough water hazard on the back 9 to challenge you, and the front 9 has sand traps that can swallow you whole! We are members here, but love seeing the public being able to enjoy our treasure. On top of the golf course, they have an excellent club house! They have a First Friday prime rib buffet, Fish Frys, seafood buffets, themed nights with music, wine pairings, innovative dinner specials, etc. They staff feels like family, and they have a great bar. We love to sit on the patio, enjoy the weather, watch other golfers, and enjoy a cocktail after a round. Oh, and how could I forget their brunch?!? The have one of my favorite breakfasts in town! The first time we visited the Dunedin Golf Club, they far surpassed other country clubs we looked at joining. It felt like home there.

First time on the course so i have no reference to new and old conditions, I would rate the course layout and green and bunker design a 5 star. When you get to the green you know you’re on a Donald Ross course! And the course design overall reminded me of playing pinehurst #1. The conditions were 3 star, thus the overall rating. The course needs water on the tees and fairways (don’t compromise all the great work already done)and go true Pinehurst for all other areas with sand and grass plants and you have a course worth the full rate. Very playable and will return for afternoon rates
