That's kind of a sad shopping center. Every time I go in there, none of the stores are doing business. Except Publix.. I've noticed a lot of businesses go in and out of there quite often. Went to go to T-Mobile, and they also gone. You would think being so close to the beach and the Pinellas trail. That Center would be a prime location. Every time I drive through there, it seems to be very slow. They need to have some kind of anchor in there besides Publix. Small businesses also help to support the local economy.. I had only stopped in there for ice cream. But I think that these grocery chains are taking total advantage of their customers when you're charging $9 for vegetable oil when it's normally 3:57. Everything that I was in search of was two to three dollars more at Publix than Winn-Dixie Aldi, Walmart. Considering the customers made Publix what they are today, I would think in this economy that Publix would do a job of keeping their prices down to help their customers during the difficult times that we are all experiencing. The scary thing is that Aldi came in and bought out Winn-Dixie and Harvey supermarkets. That means that we will literally be dealing with only three grocery chains, which is going to drive up the cost of food. Publix is already charging too much. I'm not crazy about supporting a grocery chain that's not even from this country, but apparently, they're doing a better job of feeding us than our own american-based chain here in Florida. I've been in the restaurant business for 45 years. I know what things cost.. Ridiculous Publix has kept all their wealth within their own organization, and we are paying top dollar to shop in their locations. That's why Publix has so many stores here. Not only do they own all the property, they open they control all the leases within the shopping center. Keeping the small guy from advancing and contributing to the local economy. If you ever try to open a business in a Publix shopping center, they have to approve you before you can even get a lease. Food for thought: I don't think that Publix is always a good anchor because from what I've seen, everything that opens in their center seems to be struggling or going out...

Read moreMost employees(except the older skinny meat counter guy) were extremely busy and very nice but this particular store is overrun by the rudest shoppers of any Publix I've ever been in. Just plain to many people, and we usually drive a little farther to the Publix on alderman, but this one is right around the block from our house. The person in front of me had a full shopping cart in the 10 items or less line with five separate customers lined up behind her. No one said anything to her. We love Publix just...
