I have visit Sakura twice, once dine-in and once for takeout. It's a quality restaurant so I felt I should share. If you are a sushi / sashimi lover; you would appreciate the quality sashimi and fair price. Service is also friendly.

My review is based on my experiences.

I want to give them a 4 stars initially but felt it's not completely fair since I didn't reflect my opinion and suggestions to the owner in the first place and the food was great in general.

After my first visit with my friend, I knew I'll be coming back when I visit honeymoon island again. We had Salomon Roe, Salmon Sushi a la carte and their Spider Roll. They were all tasty.

On my second visit, I just left the beach so I decided to do take out instead. I had the Sashimi Deluxe and it came with miso soup, rice and a side salad.

Presentation on the miso soup was a bit disappointing because it was slightly more than half full. Rice could've also been a bit more but I was full from the serving already. I could use a bit more of soy sauce for the 12 pieces of sashimi I got (they gave me 15). Last time, we had sushi a la carte so my expectation was the same portion as sashimi for the deluxe. I understood that was an unrealistic expectation since they were different dishes.

The sesame leaf with the sashimi really elevated the taste of sashimi, to me it made Sakura more authentic. (Not all "Japanese" or Japanese cuisine wanna be provides the real deal!)

Taste-wise, everything was great to me except for the miso soup. Either my taste bud changed after the wasabi from the sashimi deluxe because I didn't taste miso at all and it felt and looked oily. To me, it tasted like wanton soup and that's not something I expect from a "Japanese" food serving restaurant.

Now that I know what to expect from Sakura Sushi and I do wish to try many of their dishes as they provided a good variety and they looked pretty appetizing.

These are my personal opinion and my experiences, if you like good food, I would recommend to...

Very disappointed after I picked up my to-go order. I ordered my food at 4:14pm just a Shawn Roll, and got there at 4:35 more or so and the first thing the guy the cashier said you took too long, as if he’s going to pay for it? Not even a hi or welcome. After I gave him my credit card to pay, he printed the receipt and handed to me insisting to sign it while he kept my credit card, I again asked for my credit card and he still was pointing with his finger to sign? I looked at him and said my card please. He finally gave it to me and I signed the receipt. It wasn’t busy and there was no people behind me waiting, why being so rude about it? Also, they charged me another dollar to substitute cream cheese for cucumber which last time they didn’t charge me for it, to found out that they didn’t give neither of them. This roll is very good but the fact that they charged me an extra dollar to actually take one ingredient off and not putting the one I requested...

Unfortunately, I was not happy at this place. We ordered our food and they forgot to bring a plate of Philadelphia rolls. When it arrived, we were already eating extremely fatty and flavorless meat. The sushi rolls looked like they had been ready for hours waiting for us to arrive. We complained about the meat, we only tried it and they charged us half of the price, which I thought was absurd. I left there feeling sick and I am now taking intestinal moisturizer after vomiting so much and having intestinal cramps. Damn Philadelphia rolls and California salmon rolls. Honestly, it was not a good option. Incidentally, they forgot to bring the rolls and we should have reminded them. When we went to pay, they were charging us for two portions of the same dish that they forgot to bring to the table with the meal, and we had to remind them that we only...
