Before I start this review—the medical care at the Duke clinics is great. My intent in writing this is so leadership will be aware of who is handling the information desk (first impression) at their clinics.
I go into the building and I want to take the stairs so I’m not in elevator potentially exposing others to a very bad upper respiratory infection. I go to the sign that says “stairs and access”. A elderly “security” guard and lady were sitting at the information desk. I find a door labeled stairs. I peek in and it looks like a storage closet where they keep wheelchairs. I step back out and I ask them if that’s where I could access the stairs to go up. He grunts yes and they laugh as I walk away. I go back into the room with the wheelchairs and there are locks on all the inside doors. I go back out and say, “the doors are locked” then the man dressed in a security guard uniform says, “because you need access”. I asked them both,“Why didn’t you tell me that before? I was trying to be courteous and take the stairs because I’m sick and to not expose others.” He grunts. They turn back to each other to discuss a recipe.
This is a medical facility and I’m sure I’m not the only patient who has been treated rudely...
Read moreI absolutely love coming to this facility for Rheumatology as well as Physical therapy. Dr. Mithunan and his team in the Rheumatology Department has helped me to get my disease under control. Without this team, I wouldn't be able to live a "normal" lifestyle.
Courtney in the Physical therapy department is always a joy to work when we are working on my back. She is great at listening and works so hard to help achieve a better way of life. Adam is also a great individual to work with. He has been helping me with my cervical and lumbar for some time now.
Gretchen has been an angel with both of my hand recoveries. I had a carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery on my left hand and a month later trigger finger surgeries on my right, by Dr. Mathani at the North Carolina Orthopedic center. She is insanely great at what she does and really was a blessing. She really advocated for me and worked with the surgeon to ensure I get the best care.
The security is always friendly and ready to help and the front desk team are always a pleasure seeing. They really want to help where they can.
They are my care team and I am more than greatful and thankful for each and every...

After Nurse Vital sign investigation WAITED with my 1 year baby in a small room for about an hour to see Dr. Singh for my Conjunctivitis infection. Doctor has never shown up, and Nurses, front desk receptionist don’t have any information when doctor willing be seeing a patient. They don’t even have a waiting list or sequence of appointments list. After scheduling appointment it was mentioned that the whole Dr. visit will not be not more than 15 mins, but that’s wrongly mentioned and misguiding information. Front desk lady told the usual wait time for doctor to see a patient or the whole appointment process takes about 2-3 hours. I finally canceled my appointment and returned back to home. If you are planning to visit this eye center, please make sure to spend half-a-day for...
