Definitely will not be patronizing here again. I will be contacting your corporate tacos that I got this evening after having them to have to be fixed again and asking for the coleslaw to be on the side. I got these three soft tacos that are very soggy. The juice wasn’t off the meat or anything. I got chicken instead of getting the other meat because I don’t eat pork, however I guess they were pissed when I sent it back because it’s supposed to be chopped chicken although you see that in the picture it’s after I chopped it up myself so I’m going to be taking the meat off of the tacos that are soggy as hell and using them to make a sandwich now The mac & cheese that I tried in the restaurant was good but the mac & cheese that they place in this bowl is awful corn pudding is good but I don’t know if the cook wasn’t cooking because he wasn’t for me. This was a waste of money and time that I stood in line. I will be contacting you for a refund as I don’t like soggy tacos. PS presentation is everything we know that you’re not gonna get it exactly as it looks in the picture but at least come close to it. Y’all Have failed one too many times for me so this is a big no honestly I really don’t even have an appetite anymore! Let me add a few more things there definitely is no flavor on the chicken and it’s very slimy. The mac & cheese definitely need some help and the fact that there are tons of flies flying around the establishment with nothing to stop them in front of the door nothing or anything to be done and the manager, I would agree with the rest of the reviews. She seems unconcerned and unbothered, and set mouthing things to the workers when people complained about things not being done correctly, not a great example of leadership at all. This place sucks and it should actually be...
Read moreA true rival of 12 Bones in Asheville. I believe this place has edged them out. The hospitality here drove this review right past 12 Bones. Walking in the door you are kicked in the nose with the smell of smoke. A kind of foreshadowing for whats about to happen. There's something about the smell of smoke that just brings you back to a simpler time. Each time I walk into a place that I've never been, I always ask, "what do you recommend". This was the best question I've ever asked!! The owner gave me a sample of brisket, pork, and turkey to try. I did a "pull test" on the brisket and I knew that was for me. It was moist and had just a little bit of a pull on it before it pulled apart. The sign of good Q. I also asked about what sides were recommended. I told him to surprise me. I was the proud owner of a side of potato salad and greens. The greens had nice big pieces of smoked pork in them. They weren't bitter or mushy. Oh yeah! The potato salad was cold and the potatoes had a nice bite. Not overcooked nor under. Just right! He also told the kitchen staff to put a cup of each type of sauce. Wow! Now the brisket didn't need sauce but I tried them all anyway. Why? Because it's sauce! The vinegar based is the Carolina classic sauce. It wasn't overpowering on the brisket. The yellow sauce had some sweet and kick good Carolina gold sauce. The darker sauces were also really good. Very smokey. Just the way I like it. It's rare that I cannot find anything wrong. They all wore masks. The decor is simple and open. The staff was 10/10. The banana pudding was way better than I had in the town where thr banana pudding festival was. Expect some caramel. Everything is homemade. You can tell. You can taste the love. Come here! Try the lemonade!!! 6 out of 5 stars for this place. Keep up...
Read moreArrived around 6:45 with 8 friends for dinner. First impression for a couple of the people I was with. NOT a good one. The female at the register taking our order while she wasn't rude, she wasn't exactly friendly. When one person in our party asked about something instead of offering help she just kinda rolled her eyes and pointed to the menu board above her head. Ok, we are a loud group so maybe we annoyed her asking a question. No biggie. So we waited on our food. Apparently they didn't cook enough food for the day as they were out of the chicken my husband ordered. They waited unitl 3 other meals were ready to tell him that. So he got his food as we were already close to 1/2 finished. Then gave him a substitution. And it clearly wasn't the same amount of food. My meal was NOT in any way even warm (nachos, that sat on the counter for 11 minutes, yes I timed them). And had very little meat and was overpowered with BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was luke warm at best. The brisket sandwiches were even cooler than that. Another friend said the beans were just swimming BBQ sauce and weren't edible. Due to the size group we didn't complain. We are big tea drinkers and the tea dispenser was almost out when we got there. So by the time we all got a glass it was completely empty. One person went and asked for more to be brought out which was done. However, before we knew it they were emptying the dispensers and starting to clean up. At it was only 8:08 at that point. There were 6 other people in line that had just arrived. I was completely disappointed. Not the place it once was. We had to apologize to our friends as we recommended it. And 3 of the people in our group said it was a big once and...
