The Mad Popper — Local services in Durham

Oh man. Andrea, I hope you see this. The Mad Popper has been a cornerstone of making North Carolina feel like home after moving here with my family about a year ago. I take my 3-year-old son in with me every Monday for a refill, typically the flavor of the week. You can get great local flavors (QShack!) and some really unique ones as well (Peach Bellini? What?) And if you're lucky, you'll get something drenched in white chocolate, like the cinnamon roll, or cookies and cream. Mercy, please, it's amazing. The only thing as good (or better) than the popcorn, is the people. Andrea, (and Katie, and all the folks who work here) for those who don't know, is an incredible individual who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. We can't miss a week; it's built into our budget. I often get one savory flavor for my wife, and a sweet one for myself (especially if they've made Toffee). My wife has made it plain that getting her weekly fix is the only thing that makes Mondays manageable. And my son demands he carries the refillable tin for the whole round trip. It's not just popcorn, it's a bucket of love. Go here. Feel good....

Customer service was amazing!! In the mist of preparing for a baby shower mommy to be and myself (aunt to be) realized we did not have enough popcorn for party favors. In a panic I called Mad Popper to see if they could help us in any way possible. I swear I called Mad Popper 4 times in an hour trying to figure out a work around. Every single time I called I was greeted with kindness, patience, and understanding. Staff were just as invested as we were in trying to get this dilemma handled with such a short turn around. Ultimately, I was able to walk away with a party sized bag of popcorn just in time for the baby shower. Mommy to be was extremely relieved and the baby shower was beautiful. To top it off, the popcorn was great! I will definitely be returning for any and all of my popcorn needs. Thank you...

I went to The Mad Poppers on Monday, September 27, 2021. I went because I see people go in there a lot. I asked for cheesy, carmel popcorn, but what I got was cheesy, carmel, and regular thrown in a bag. I paid $12.90 for it and it was the most horrible tasting popcorn that I have ever eaten. What I asked for was not what I received at all. I specifically asked for cheese and carmel which I assumed would be combined. However, it was 3 different types of popcorn in one bag. I feel like I wasted my money because it is not good at all. Not one flavor of the popcorn is good. I still have well over half a bag left, after eating a little and throwing the rest the portions out. I will not be...
