As a parent with two children attending Kumon of Lowes Grove for the past 6 years, I would like to take a moment to thank Ms. Linjen and her dedicated team of professionals for their sacrifice and dedication to educating our children and tomorrow’s leaders. As a parent, we always try to do our best to make sure what we do is best for our children. Kumon has been the best academic enrichment program for our family and the countless other families who have been with us at Kumon. I would like to take this opportunity to let others know why we value Ms. Linjen and her team:
Teaching our children beyond the hours of operation with no complaint.
Inviting guest speakers to discuss the importance of education as well as, the significance of the SAT, ACT, and other standardized test.
One of the highlights of the program is having Kumon Alumni speak to current students about how Kumon has helped them achieve their goals and maintain success.
I did not have the experience of the previous reviewer. The safety of my children has never been an issue. Kumon associates ensured my children, as well as other children, were connected with the Kumon Instructor upon entry and guardians upon departure.
Ms. Linjens’ love and passion for making a difference in our children’s lives is evident in her approach to educating them.
We depend on her and her team to creatively, selflessly, and passionately work with children to build the next...
Read moreWhen my wife and I first started our son and daughter, I thought the value was not there for what you pay after some months. First of all, you as a parent are doing a lot of work. The kids do not get a day off and when the go to a new skill the assignments take longer for them. My wife kept us in it.
Mentally, this did not settle with me for a good while.
Then, my son due to the discipline of the study in Kumon, started excelling in school. My daughter also excelled in school. Both of them are different in regards to orientation of study. My son started liking math. My daughter started liking reading. Fast forward to now, my son is an A study, my daughter is climbing to this area and is solid B student.
Without the structure of Kumon, which instills the skills with speed to answer the problems provided and consistency of study, there would have been issues my children would encounter and their grades would not be as high.
Like anything you do for your family, if you think a professional will do all the work without you being involved you are missing the point of parenting. Linjen and her center of tutors have done an excellent job with this program but at the end of the day, it is a partnership between her program and your work with your child. It takes patience, perseverance and maybe some of your joy into this work to make it 'Aces' for...
Read moreMy son has made leaps on his Math and Reading skills since we enrolled him at Kumon a year ago. He has an IEP in school and despite his unique way of learning, the materials that Kumon uses builds up his interest and improved his focusing skills. We recently received a Math award from his school and we believe that Kumon RTP contributed a big part on it. We love this location because Ms. Nishta and Ms. M communicate so well with us. They give constant updates and learning progress regularly. They make modifications and some accommodations base on my son's schedule and capabilities to make sure that he will not be burnt out. They also give great tips and tricks on how to motivate our son to do his homework. Parking space is not an issue. They also make sure pick up and drop off are safe. Kumon RTP is definitely worth the investment on our child's learning and future. The only regret we have is we should've started sooner when he was...
