I have come to this location several times, however, to date I've had three bad experiences. My last time visiting on 10/21 marks my final visit at this location. I placed a mobile order about 12–15 minutes before arriving. Upon my arrival, I noticed a long drive-thru line and crowded lobby. Once I came inside, I overheard another customer complaining to a manager and barista that she had waited a long time and she had to go, but she'd be back to get a full refund. This was a total foreshadow of my visit.
With concern, I headed to the counter to grab my order. I only found my egg bites. My drink was not at the pickup station so my concern peaked. Some of the staff's professional attitude was dwindling as the crowd became restless and frustrated because of the disorder and long wait times. I waited several minutes before asking a barista the status of my drink. After reviewing the stickers around the espresso machines, he unconvincingly said, "I think it's coming up." I sat down and waited about 30 more minutes before telling a female barista that I wanted my drink. The baristas communicated about my order and confirmed that my drink had been made previously—therefore, it had been stolen—and they'd make it again immediately. I took a sip and noted that my drink wasn't properly made. I didn't have the energy or time to request a remake because I was running late. My disappointment was somewhat soothed by a cashier giving me a service recovery card for $4 off my next drink. I left thinking I didn't want to return to this location.
Well, today I went to another Starbucks location located in a Harris Teeter. I attempted to use my recovery card to supplement my order. The barista scanned it multiple times before telling me it was never activated!
I paid for my drink and then called Starbucks customer service to file a complaint against the Hwy 55 & Allendown location. Starbucks customer service gave me a proper refund and resolution for my troubled experience on 10/21.
I don't EVER want to patron the Hwy 55 & Allendown Starbucks...
Read moreTuesday the 31st, around 2 p.m. I treated a friend to a coffee and snack trays that we purchased through the drive through. I asked what was available, and settled on two of the cheese and fruit trays, as I am familiar with it and it easy to share with my toddler. Order was repeated back correctly. When I get to the window, we get our drinks, and the clerk tries to hand me two egg and fruit trays (cheese? Fuzzy on the name). I tried to decline, and flatly stated that they were not what I ordered (confirmed with my equally confused passenger), to which she replied "oh, these have cheese and fruit in them" and almost drops them in my lap. I took them back inside to replace, and get a dismissive "go ahead and switch them out" wave from the gentleman running the register. I grabbed what I thought, were two cheese and fruit, and returned to my car. I realized the one behind it was an egg and cheese, so I went back in to check if they were just out of cheese and fruit. Same rude, dismissive clerk takes the tray, makes a big deal about me causing food waste because the other two have to go in the trash (the ones I tried to refuse that their staff foisted on me anyway), takes the one out of my hand without asking, and starts going on rudely about refunds, and would I like a sandwich instead. I repeat two or three times that does not work because it is easier to share the tray with my toddler, and it is fine if that is all that is available I will take the tray. Dude is still waving the tray around, while explaining that EVERYONE is on the headsets, and THEY ALL HEARD me order the egg and cheese. So to top horrible service and giving me what I didn't order, they called me a liar instead of owning their mistake. I literally took the tray back and just walked out.
Bar none, the worst service experience I've ever had in a Starbucks. The second worst service I've had in my life. Stay far away until they replace the employees, or get them...
Read moreUsed to come to this location a lot since it's so close to my work but after today I won't be coming back.
I love the coconut milk vanilla bean latte, but with almond milk. Tastes way better, to me. The first time I ordered it here the barista at the drive through told me to use the 'ask me' way of ringing it up because I'm already paying a premium price for the coconut milk. And this way I won't get an extra charge for almond milk. So today I ordered it that way. And she barista at the drive through was not accommodating. I told her I've been directed to order that way and I'm already paying a premium price why should I pay double? She replies 'its only 60 cents'
Are you kidding me? That's almost six dollars for a small coffee. I told her it was a rip off and I didn't want it. Before I could even ask for another drink she cut me off and told me my total. I asked for a drink to be added after she was cold towards me. Starbucks customer service is a joke. I sent an email about this location and this service and they emailed me back with the wrong name. When they responded again all they did was copy and paste the same message.
Starbucks better clean up their act because I get coffee three...
