This "mall" is a poor excuse of a shopping mall. As a matter of fact, it's nothing more than a few stores connected in a strip. There's no "mall" to it. I only go there to work out at Planet Fitness. I might go to Applebee's, but I think it's really in a lousy location for a restaurant. They should move out of the Dyersburg "mall" and get into a stand alone building. They would get more business that way! Other than those two places, they should shut the "mall" down all together, tear it down and put in stand alone stores (not a strip mall). Stood looking around for a few and when the guy asked me if there was something I was looking for I said either of these two in a 13. Fast forward about 20 minutes of him coming back and forth. Another employee and asked me if she could help cause he's new. She was busy ringing up someone and found out in quick fashion they didn't have ANY size 13 shoes left in the store....
Read moreI'm not sure what the problem is with the mall. Is the rent for space too high. It's almost empty. The anchors like JC Penney's and Peebles are gone. I've never seen more than ten people in the mall at one time in over a decade. Applebee's and Ollie's still get some customers but the mall is dead. It's really a shame. Seems to me like people would enjoy shopping in a climate controlled environment especially in Tennessee but strip malls where you have to go outside to get to another store seem to be...
