
We have been going there for awhile. It has had its ups and downs with staff and maintenance. But the other day I went to leave and found my lock missing from my locker. I use the same locker daily unless in a rare instance someone else is using it. I thought it was broken into but then an employee appears and states nonchalantly I had to cut your lock. She then said someone had put their keys and not locked the locker and they needed them. I never saw any keys when I put my stuff in. So then my belongings were left unseacured for I don’t know how long. If someone had stolen my keys then they would have got into my vehicle and would have access to many items to steal and even have access to something that if stolen would have been a federal offense. This situation could have escalated very quickly. The employee should have either made an announcement or asked the few women in the club at the time if that was their locker. My lock I have been using for literally over 30 years so is much better quality than anything now. The employee offered me a planet fitness lock which is very cheap quality. And how do I know someone’s keys were really in there and why wasn’t there a witness or the employee asked a higher authas to what to do before taking it upon herself to just ruin my lock and u secure my belongings. I asked for the district managers email which the manager told an employee to write down for me. He never offered to see if he could offer any assistance. I emailed the dm and never heard back. The manager doesn’t care and there seems to be no way to talk to any higher person so I guess I just can’t trust to bring anything in the club. I was nice about it at the time but then when I got in my car I realized how this could have turned ugly. So writing this review is the best I can do it seems. Read moreReally disappointed in the customer service. They make you sign up for a membership on the app which leads you to believe you do everything in regards to membership on the app, great! But only a couple weeks after joining I found out I had another high risk pregnancy and could not work out. I tried to cancel or pause my membership on the app right away. It was telling me I had to go to the club and couldn’t cancel it on the app. I was so sick, in and out of the hospital 4-5 times within a month and became handicap and unable to really go anywhere or leave the house without assistance and my wheel chair. I was finally able to make it to the club to cancel a couple months later, assuming they would refund me for the unused months considering I physically could not get there, I never used my membership in that time and I tried to cancel multiple times on the app. At this point they also charged me a YEARLY fee which I was not expecting and was between $50-$60 on top of the $10/ month. When I went to the club the general manager told me he could not refund me and I asked to speak to his supervisor and escalate the issue. He kept telling me that he could try but they were going to deny it. I told him to try anyways. He said they would call me with the result and that never happened. Such a scam. And very discriminatory that a person who is medically unable or handicap has to come in to the club to cancel their membership. Planet fitness clearly doesn’t prioritize care for people, but care for money. With doctors notes for bed rest and me and my baby’s life being at risk, I shouldn’t have had to go through this trouble to cancel and not even get money back for when I couldn’t get there due to their scammy policy. Read moreThe Easley PF facility is nice, as far as equipment and tanning; however, the staff could use an upgrade. I went in a few weeks ago to use a massage chair and tan. There were two females sitting on the counter tops and a bearded man (believe he used to be the manager at the Greer location; my home gym). None of which greeted me. This is not the first time I’ve encountered lack of customer service at this location but it’s definitely the one that will keep me from returning. The computer you sign in to use the massage chairs was apparently down so I had to ask to use the massage chair. The bearded man literally walked off without saying a word or instructing me on what to do. I stood there and waited. One of the two girls sitting on the counter finally asked if I needed something. I said yes, I’d like to use a massage chair. She said oh he’s gone to get that ready. Ok, would have been nice if he had said something. I walked around to find him and the chair I was supposed to use. Again, he said nothing. The lack of communication and professionalism between these 3 individuals is very sad. I have been to PF locations in Hickory, NC, Greer, Berea, Simpsonville, Greenville, Clemson and even Toronto, Canada. All far exceed expectations with their excellent customer service and staff.
