I love Aldi and have been shopping locations around SC (Upstate and then Lexington when we lived there) for 10 years. I've been going to the Easley Aldi for my biweekly grocery shopping since 2016. This year the store has taken a definite turn for the worse.
The staff is unfriendly and constantly seems stressed out. I have been asked to move out of the way so they can bring large carts through multiple times, and staff have parked carts in front of sections of the store for 10+ minutes, making it difficult to get to what I need. I don't mind them coming through once in a while; I understand they need to do their jobs. But I am careful and watch for them, and when I am trying to shop it is disconcerting to be asked to move out of multiple aisles during one 30 minute trip. I have spoken to the manager before about this issue, and instead of saying sorry and taking care of it in private, he said, "I think I know who it is" and went to speak to them right away. As a manager myself, I can't imagine embarrassing my employees in that way. The manager's job is to take responsibility for all issues and deal with the root of the problem in private.
On occasion I've been in the store when things are slower and I hear staff complaining to one another about how hard they are worked and how they can't keep staff because they don't last very long (assume because they get burned out). In spite of the constant restocking during peak store hours, they can't seem to keep things in stock (size 3 diaper boxes, for example, and frozen ground beef are frequently missing). I am almost to the point where I will go out of my way to a different store to shop; what used to be a pleasant breath of fresh air in the grocery shopping world has turned into another...
Read moreI always wanted to go to this store but did not know what to expect as far as the products for sale, prices, how clean the store would be and the people working in the store. I must say that it was a great experience and will shop there now. Some of the merchandise were close to other stores, then again some were unbelievable. The store was very clean, especially the floors; the products were stocked just right. The employees dressed appropriately and were very friendly, everyone was working. The cashier Jasmine was so very polite and fast, she was the only one at a register and the line was going down the isle. She always had a smile on her face and spoke very nice to each customer. As I waited to be checked out, she checked everyone out in such an amazing time that you did not hear anyone complain..All these positive and satisfied comments will continue to keep customers coming back. Great employees great place ....Keep up the good work..I will be back for more....And will tell everyone of my experience in your store..(I asked the cashier her name and she did not hesitate to tell me...I wanted to make sure she was recognized for...
Read moreFirst time shopping here in many years when they first opened up I was not impressed with the selection of very many items but I tried this one again just to see if it was doing better because everyone has been bragging on them and I will definitely be doing the majority of my grocery shopping at Aldi's now because they now have better products as well as cheaper prices and this is something that I have a very small budget for groceries and would not be able to feed my family like I do without discounts like they have. As well the staff was very friendly and so were the other customers that were in the store everyone that I saw had a mask on except for maybe a couple of shoppers and everyone was practicing social distancing and these are two things that are extremely important for myself because I am extremely high risk for covid-19 and I don't know the lady's name who was in line behind me but I went over my budget by $3 and some change and she paid that so I didn't have to put back anything. I'll be telling everyone...
