I would not recommend coming to this store at all… The manager “Jerica” is very rude and has just been very rude to me for the past few years that I have been to the 2 gamestops in Easley. I return games pretty often since I play games a lot and often beat them and have nothing else to do in them so as any person does you return them if it is not needed. At one point Jerica became very angry that I was even returning games for what reason I can not understand… this time when I decided to take back pokemon violet which I have completely finished it seemed weird when they weren’t doing cash returns anymore. I asked why they weren’t doing it and Jerica responded with basically “we don’t want to give cash out of our register anymore.” So now she says they use “Venmo” which I have never heard of any other gamestops using. So she apparently scanned my Venmo QR code and handed me a receipt and said I was good to go. So I have waited about 2 weeks now and have called Venmo several times without anything being resolved. I have called this GameStop store several times and the “fill in manager” is the most unhelpful person I have ever spoken with.. he just repeats the same lines over and over and doesn’t try to help me get the money that this store most definitely owes me. I am just so frustrated and I feel like this manager is just trying to cheat people out of money for her own benefit. I would not recommend anyone come to this store for any type of transactions. I will be going to the white horse location from now on because my trust is just completely gone. GameStop is definitely going downhill so I wouldn’t be surprised if the manager was trying to pocket a little bit of extra cash before...
Read moreBought an Xbox from them a year or so ago. People there were pretty friendly. However a year later I was charged for a rewards membership that I was not aware that I would be paying for annually. I only bought the console to play one game that I play pretty infrequently, as I am not much of a gamer. I had not purchased anything from Gamestop in close to a year. Contacted customer support once I saw the charge on my card, 7 days after it posted. They canceled the membership that I was unaware that I was paying for, but the guy said his hands were tied on refunding me as the charge was 7 days old. Hate to give them a bad review for this as the people I dealt with were nice. But I feel they need to be way more transparent with wrapping annual subscriptions into big sales and be flexible with cancellations when it is clear that a customer was unaware what they were even paying for and not even benefiting from the program. My problem is more with Gamestop leadership for managing their business this way, than any one individual that I dealt with personally. Spent way too much time dealing with this to not mention it online so other people could be aware, and not be surprised about any credit card charges...
Read moreZero Stars. Zero Customer service. I went by at my lunch hour to trade in an old console. The girl working told me they couldn’t accept it because I didn’t have an HDMI cord with it. That’s a dumb rule, but they don’t set the rules. That’s fine. She told me to come back anytime when have a cord and she was very friendly. I go home after work and get a spare HDMI cord and go back to the store, wasting my hard earned money on gas to drive back and forth. The guy working there told me it was too late in the day and they were too close to closing to accept a trade in. I got there an hour before they closed and there were ZERO customers in the store. He was basically too lazy and wanted to close the store early i guess. He also said he didn’t know how to do a trade in other than with in store credit…after the first associate told me they could do credit, or Venmo me. He said I would have to come back when the first associate I spoke to was working. Very disorganized. I will gladly sell my console privately for less money because I will not give them a dime after that poor...
