FedEx Ship Center — Attraction in East Hanover

First, I like to say I’m a big fan of FedEx and a long-time investor in the company. I own the stock for over 25 years & feel this is one of the best logistic and shipping companies in the world. Now back to this ship-center, it’s horrendous. The customer service skill of the folks at the front that process your package is absolutely lacking. They treat you as you owe them. When your turn is up, you’re told in a firm manor to “throw your box on the scale”, just like that. They lack courtesy and politeness, but what’s really aggravating is, you get one-word answers and no information. He prints a receipt and if you have a simple question, he’ll point to the receipt and tell you to check for yourself online. I know what the protocol is, & it didn’t have to come with smug, condescending remark. Very snarky and the person there seems agitated, as if he hates his job. You walk out without a thank you as if they did you this grand favor. Avoid this place and go to the UPS store in East Hanover. The folks there have been properly trained and are very welcoming...

This review is long overdue but I had to acknowledge what amazing staff works at FedEx. About 3 weeks ago I had a package that was said eligible for pickup instead of delivery. I needed this package as it was my dress for undergrad graduation. When I arrived at FedEx there were some issues with originally locating it at the facility. However, Walter made sure to find my package for me out of pure kindness when I told him it was for my graduation. He called me back later that day for me to pick it up (the day before grad) once it was retrieved. It may not of been a big deal to many people but it meant a lot to me and I am so grateful that he was the person I ran into that day. (There are many people that would have likely just told me it wasn’t there at the time and moved on with their day). I wish I could do more but the least I could do was write a review for him. EMPLOYEES FROM THIS CENTER HAVE NO CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OR THE ELDERLY. VERY SAD IN THIS DAY AND AGE. I refused delivery for three big boxes that are not mine. The driver ignored me and dumped them on my property anyway. When I told him to take them because my handicapped son could not enter the house with them there, he said he'd be back in an hour to take them. Never came back. I called the center explained the situation, and they told me to leave them outside and someone will pick them up. They never came. I called two days in a row and the packages are still in front of my house. My handicap son almost fell on them twice. The staff and drivers from this center have no regard for people with special needs. We are elderly, so we can not easily move the boxes. THIS IS UNFAIR TO THE ELDERLY AND...
