RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! This company has no interest in providing any type of customer service. The complete lack of accountability combined with severe incompetence in the service department is unsettling & disappointing. I won't even go for the free lifetime oil changes at this point (I learned they only offer this because of they have no other good qualities to sell you on and they don't even use the Ford recommended synthetic blend oil). If you are looking to purchase a new/pre-owned vehicle do yourself a favor and go right to Wayne Ford, I wish I had. Upon picking up my certified pre-owned vehicle, I noticed that my passenger sideview mirror wasn't working (I guess making sure the mirrors work isn't part of the 172-point inspection supposed to be done) which my salesperson assured me would be taken care of and covered at no cost. Unfortunately, this simple issue turned into a prolonged and exasperating ordeal. Despite numerous delays, I remained understanding throughout the process. After the mirror was finally replaced, I noticed that it was not properly aligned. I brought this to the attention of the service advisor during my next visit. The service advisor acknowledged the issue and mentioned that a missing bolt was required to fix the problem, which was ordered. I was told that they would contact me once the parts were available to address the issue. I received a call indicating that the necessary parts had arrived, and I took my vehicle in for an oil change, mentioning the mirror once again. However, when I picked up the vehicle, the service advisor informed me that the technician had found no issue with the mirror and saw nothing in the system. At that time, I did not have the paperwork from the previous visit, and I had no means to dispute the technician's claim. I made another appointment for an oil change and requested a check of the transmission because it was showing symptoms listed in an open recall bulletin. During this visit, I mentioned the mirror issue once more and provided the previous invoice, which clearly indicated that the mirror was being addressed. To my astonishment, not only did my vehicle remain at the dealership for over two weeks to check the transmission without the provision of a loaner vehicle, but I was also informed that I needed a new mirror because the bolt wasn't missing but broke due to an "impact" and it would not be covered. (I took pictures of mirror the morning of drop off to show service advisor if necessary because last time they didn’t see the problem and there was no damage) When I picked my vehicle up there was a scuff mark on the mirror cover that I was able to wipe off. I never thought someone would damage my mirror just to avoid having to take responsibility. I personally went over the vehicle with the service advisor at drop off to show him the issue and there was no damage or impact at that point in time yet there is now a convenient mark on the mirror that gives your service manager a reason to put the blame on something else. I attempted to reach out to the VP and service director with zero response which only confirms the company has no interest in providing a quality service to the customers. If you want someone who values your business, values their customer and honest than once again I...
Read moreSeriously don't take your car here. I should have filed a police report. Please read.
Another update I forgot to post: I took my car in for an oil change at some point thinking things might be different. When I got my car back, they had taken off my license plate bracket to replace it with one of theirs and removed these nice chrome bolts I had purchased for my car. And doing so, they had replaced my small bolts with large rusty bolts that would drip rust down the front of my car. These bolts were larger than the ones I originally had and they had drilled a larger hole into my bumper. To be clear, I took my car here FOR AN OIL CHANGE which does not require them to touch the bumper at all. I was beyond pissed. I confronted them about the situation and they refused to fix it and only offered me a free oil change. I absolutely should have filed a police report each time they damaged my vehicle and I regret not doing so. At this point they have damaged my vehicle multiple times and refused to make the situation right. Do not take your car here. Absolutely scummy way of doing business and they don't actually care about your car. I am updating my review with a picture of my car so this review does not get lost.
I originally had a five-star rating, but had to come back in and change it after my recent experience unfortunately.
Took my car there for a simple oil change. They took out the nice chrome screws I had in my license plate brackets and replace them with these rusty screws that ended up leaking onto my car. I complained to the management and they were really nice about it and wanted to make it right and offered me an oil change, tire rotation, and wash the next time I bring it in. Apparently it is their policy to remove any competitor's license plate brackets and put their own on without asking to do this.
I brought my car back to have the tire rotation oil change and wash done, and additionally I had an issue with my backup camera that needed to be fixed through the warranty. As soon as I got there and dropped my car off, I watched an associate open at a neighboring car door and ended up dinging my door, chipping the paint. Unbelievably careless to swing a door open like that into a neighboring car. They assured me they would have it detailed and corrected by the time I pick the car up. Went to go pick up the car, and they didn't have the paint chip filled, only the door buffed. One of the guys from inside was kind enough to come out and touch it up with a pen for me. I also just found a decent sized scratch/scuff mark on the back of my trunk where they were doing work on my backup camera. Honestly I don't even know if it's worth contacting them about it as they didn't correct the chip on my door properly.
To say the least, I was less than thrilled with my experience here. I wish I could say I left with my car in a better condition than it arrived in, but that was not the case. Although they did do things to try to right the situation each time, damage had been done. Unfortunately my backup camera is not working again and I have to bring it back in. I am still weary of having to bring my...
Read moreI want to share my experience with the Performance FORD East Hanover, New Jersey dealership. My first call was warmly received by Zak Assaf. He found out and provided me with information about the car, gave me a full layout for the price and we made an appointment for a test drive. I had a couple of days before my appointment, and since this was my first experience of buying a car in the US, there were a lot of questions about the registration (given that there was a COVID-19 quarantine), etc. I called Zak many times and he answered all my questions patiently and politely. As a customer, I was very pleased with such attention and responsiveness. The meeting on the test drive was great. I really liked the car and bought it. Once again, I would like to thank you for your service at the FORD East Hanover, New Jersey dealership. As for the car. As for the car. Externally, the car was prepared perfectly! It feels like it really was a new car. It even seemed to have been polished! I can't imagine how you can prepare a car like this! I checked it from below, where the bottom is – it was as clean as in the cabin and in the engine compartment! But why would I put a 4-minus on the car? First, the brakes. I've been using the car for almost a month and a half, driving 60 miles to and from work every day. Until now, the front pads are still whistling when braking, although the pads are new. As I was told by the master, this is either cheap Chinese pads or poor-quality installation on the part of the dealer. I'll be driving for another month. If they don't get used to it, I'll change it. That's an extra $ 100. The second (and this is a more serious problem) is the clutch. The car is equipped with POWERSHIFT automated transmission. Its advantages are a great fuel economy! Now I spend half as much on gas as I used to with my old Honda. Among the disadvantages – an extremely slow start and weak grip. The mileage of the car when purchased was only 42.5 thousand miles. But the clutch at the start starts to twitch and the car starts jerkily. This begins to manifest itself when driving for a long time in a city with traffic lights or when leaving the highway, i.e. when the transmission warms up. Sometimes you can hear the clutch forks switching when the Windows are open.
Now I'm more or less used to using it to reduce or prevent twitching, but this is the first sign that the clutch will have to be repaired in the future. When we bought it, we paid almost $ 1,400 for an annual package that includes a warranty on the main components, including the transmission. I hope this also includes the electronic unit TSM, which is responsible for shifting gears. At the end of the year, I will definitely use this package and go to the nearest FORD dealership in new York to repair the clutch. If I am told that this problem is not included in the paid package, I will definitely unsubscribe here so that the next buyers do not pay for possible fraud on the part of an official FORD dealer. It would not be nice for the greatest company to do this to its customers! In the meantime, I recommend this dealership. Good luck! Buy...
