This was our 3rd and final stop on the PSP game run of June 2016. Once we walked in the front door I knew we had hit the mother load. This location has it all. I do mean ALL. First thing PSP games. There's a rack inside the front door similar to the Willow location. However this time the shelf was about five rows deep. My nephew ended up with 3 more PSP games and then he picked up SSX Tricky And SSX 3 for the PS2. BTW all of the PS2 gams were Buy one get the other for half price. A steal really for those 2 games. I think the price came to like $7 for them alone. Second, I took look around the store and noticed on the top shelf that circles the entire room a ton of classic gaming system boxes. I asked the lady working the counter if they were all just old empty boxes and she said no, every one of them had their hardware which kinda made my jaw drop. I saw a Commodore 64 and it's accessories. An Atari 5200 with extra controllers. Even a Coleco Adam kit that had the printer that sounded like a machine gun. That's a fact. Another gem that caught my eye was an old Vectrex system. If you don't know what that is, it was the first attempt to make a vector graphic based gaming system. Examples of vector graphic systems would be the old coin op games like Asteroids, Tempest, Star Castle, etc. It's one heck of a find. If had somewhere to put the system I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. There was so much more I don't have time to describe it all, however I've added a few pictures. All in all, this was my favorite location of the Just Press Play round robin trip we made. I'll definitely be visiting again on future trips to the area. My nephew also made out. On our haul today he ended up with 8 PSP games and 2 PS2 games. That's a pretty good start. Definitely check this place out for your retro needs!

This store is literally unbelievable! They have 3 locations in PA but apparently this one is their biggest. They have a huge array of comics, manga, plushes, figures, toys, soundtracks to things like video games and anime, there were vinyls, CDs, even cassette tapes. I’m going to be brutally honest, the main draw for me personally was the fact that they had officially licensed Undertale and Deltarune merchandise!! As well as other fangamer merch!! This is literally huge because normally you can only get that merch online. I never thought I would see it in a physical store!!! They had lots of official merch of all sorts of properties, but what was cool was that they also had fan made merchandise made by local artists, which is just so sick to see!!! So yeah, would 100% recommend stopping in here if you have the chance!

I want everything in the store for one reason or another. The selection alone of records (vinyl) are worth the trip. Surprisingly also the perfect place to spend some time learning about the history of Video games and collectables. the trips not complete without a selfie under the Pokemon arch. 5 Stars. It's good to see local businesses prosperous.

SUMMARY This is a fantastic game store, easily the best place around Lancaster/York to buy video games, accessories, consoles, and more! I have only been to this location and the York location one time each, but I can tell how invested the staff are in truly making your experience special and making sure everyone leaves with a smile from ear to ear.

MY EXPERIENCE One of the biggest mistakes I ever made as a dumb teenager was getting rid of my PS2. Recently I have been hit with waves of nostalgia and craving the feeling of playing games I remembered as a kid again on original hardware. Over the years I've tried emulation but it's never quite the same. So, I set out on a mission to find a good deal on a PS2 bundle.

I found this store location and asked if they had any PS2's in stock. The employee was apologetic as he reported that they did not have one there, but told me to wait while he checks with the other stores. A few minutes later he walked out and said that the store in York has two left, and the price for them was very fair. However, it was getting late and I couldn't make it to York that night. I called them and explained my situation, and they were more than happy to hold the console for me until the next afternoon. I was not expecting them to be so gracious, and it blew me away that all it took was a phone call.

The next afternoon I rushed to the York location to pick up my console, and some accessories and games. The staff member that helped me was more than happy to let me take me time and browse the extensive PS2 and PS1 game collection and made some small talk with me to help me with a few recommendations. After my purchase, I brought everything home and I am happy to report that everything was absolutely pristine, with no functional defects of any kind (The console itself has some light scratches and scrapes, which is completely understandable for used hardware this old. There are no signs of functional wear and tear, the console is not overheating, and the controller/cables are in great condition as well). This was an awesome purchase and I can't wait to keep reliving fond childhood memories, and make some new ones with games I have never tried before!

ADDITIONAL NOTES The prices for everything in the store seem to be very reasonable, especially compared to some other stores and online retailers/auction sites you can find. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, They treated every single customer with respect and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone felt comfortable. They were not pushy at all when it came to console/game sales as I have seen many game stores try to do (seriously, some game stores feel like being in used car lots with the sales pitches and tactics). They even added little touches to my purchase, like making sure I got all the accessories I needed (almost went home without a memory card, oops!) and the employee ringing out my PS2 games even replaced the game case as the one on the shelf was in bad shape, even going so far as to transfer the manual and game cover art to the new case.

CONCLUSION Bar none, if you are looking for any video game paraphernalia, from NES to PS5/Xbox Series X|S (or even music and movies as well), look no further than any Just Press Play location. The selection is amazing, prices are very reasonable, and the staff are all passionate about what they do and will treat you with respect. Keep on...

If I could give this place a half star or even 0 stars I would. I've been a loyal customer buying from Just Press Play for years. Never had any real issues with them. Its always been my go-to spot for buying and selling games. But for some reason ever since they opened up this mega store I've been having loads of issues with this Lancaster location.

I want to start off that I went in to trade in a few games and consoles at the Lancaster location on 9-23-25. When I arrived the gentleman behind the counter was very very stand offish and rude to me the whole time. Especially how when I told him I wanted to see what they would offer me before I made my decision to sell everything to them. I told him I went to the York location a few days prior and wasn't as big of a fan of their offer and wanted to see what this store was going to give me. The gentleman behind the counter told me they run the same system as the other store so I should get the same number as the other store. When I told him, last time I visited this store I ended up getting a higher value for my items than the york location offered he got upset and told me that never happens and if it did shouldn't of happened. He also told me he was going to scan the items into their POS system and thats why. Well last time I came to this store they just used a calculator to figure out my value of my items. And he got majorly upset when I told him this and said that never happened. The whole time he was trying to argue with me about my experience last time basically calling me a liar the whole time. On top of this the number he offered me was even higher than the york location when I had the same items minus 2 consoles from when I went to the York location. So evidently they aren't offering the same prices between both stores.

After dealing with the whole trade in situation I asked about canceling a pre order and he told me the counter up front would be able to help. When I got up there and told them I wanted to cancel a pre order but it was from the york location, they said they'll still be able to do it at this store. Well the woman behind the counter had to call someone to be told they cant actually cancel the order there and I should call the york location to cancel and they'll give me the money via store credit or try and go in person and ask if they could make this 1 time exception in giving me cash back for the game I pre ordered.

And finally after dealing with all this I could show my friend around the store since it was his first time at this location. Well when we were at the trading card section I over heard the gentleman from the trade in area talking to another employee about me, calling me all these really nasty and cruel names. Its safe to say, im more than likely never returning to this location ever again. I may even never be a returning customer for any just press play stores ever again. I've had 1 meh experience months ago and now 1 really really bad one. Its a shame as the york location has been my go to stop for years and its a shame to see how the Lancaster location treats their customers. I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about shopping here to save their time and either go to the york location or go to any other game store (even gamestop) rather...

First off I would like to state that this shop contained a wide array of games and related merchandise. There was no shortage of products to be found but the issue I have is with the pricing and the attitude of the employees. I asked what the price was for a game and was told that it was $300, knowing that couldn't be right I checked both eBay listed and eBay sold as well as Price charting just to be sure I was right and found that an average price came to more like $190 to $200. When I asked an employee where they got their prices he immediately became rude in his responses and told me that I must be using price charting and that I was wrong for using it and that I should be checking eBay sold listings (I managed a comic book/game store for 3 years, I already know this) and I don't find it respectful to lecture customers, especially with such attitude. I showed eBay sold listings with the prices I mentioned before and was told then that they charge a premium for customers getting the game then and there as well as for "hard-to-find" games. This is a bold statement to make when I was clearly already looking on eBay at the same item in the same condition for $100 less than their price. I insisted they check again and the owner, who never came out to meet me or speak on their pricing, offered to sell the game for $250. I refused and left the store. It's a shame that such great products are apparently being sold at a "premium" when their competition is me paying less and having the product delivered to my front step in a box. I will not be shopping here, and hope they decide to adopt a better approach to customer service. I recommend going to other local game stores or buying online as it will save you money and you'll have a better experience.

As I was given a response on this review I would just like to clarify a point. When I showed eBay sold listings, there was no question as to condition being a reason for cost on this copy of the game. I looked at the game myself outside of the protective clear case and was explicitly told that the price was due to a "premium" for getting it there and then, never condition. Along with this, Customer service was fine when attempting to point my attention toward various product but as soon as I asked about pricing I was given attitude and...
