"1/27/24 UPDATE Today is our 24th wedding anniversary and we went to Red Lobster in Lancaster, we both had been excited for the last few days about spending time together. I called ahead for seating went great, the hostess was very polite and we were seated actually sooner than quoted..... That's when, we waited 15+ minutes for our waitress to even take our drink order, we also ordered Mozzarella sticks and asked for biscuits, we were waiting for her to come promptly back for our order and she didn't, another server brought our biscuits and yet another one brought our appetizer and still no drinks. We simply watched her serve everyone around us but never came back. I excused myself to the bathroom she brought our drinks (20 minutes at that point) told my husband she'd be right back and we never seen her again until I called the manager to get our bill because we had had enough. They excused the drinks and appetizer and we left. On our anniversary..... We left hungry .. the excuse given to us was "because it was busy", (like every other restaurant in the area on a Saturday night) but one of them stepped up and gladly served us along with everyone else in that place smiling and rather quickly. After this we will NOT be returning.
May-June 2023 I love Red Lobster, but... I feel like every time we go to this one something is not right. Tonight our waitress got our food correct but my husband and son sat for nearly 15 minutes waiting for drinks, we ask 3 times for biscuits, she took her time collecting our bill then again taking the payment.. now I'm a nurse I understand fluidity and efficiency with time management but they weren't that busy I totally felt like she wasn't coming our way until she had more than one thing to bring multiple tables. (That was pointed out by my husband and mind you he never complains even when his food is stone cold) when we did get our food both mine and my son's was over cook and tough to chew. It's a shame to pay that much money for someone's poor work ethics.
August 2023 UPDATE: so we tried it again much MUCH better seafood was cooked well and service was friendly, funny and attentive. Post pics love me some Crab Leg's and I love there coconut shrimp....
Read moreWent there to celebrate my birthday with a friend. I am on a very strict diet, and actually there wasn't hardly anything on the menu that I could eat. Seems to be a lot of fried food and super rich pasta. The shrimp scampi was fair but was only 6 small shrimp floating in butter. The coleslaw is made with malt vinegar and tasted nasty. We were seated at a table with very comfortable flat seat wood chairs. The rungs on the chairs looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several years. Our dinners took quite a while to come out and there was only one other table occupied at the time. It was 73 degrees outside and the air conditioning was blowing so cold on us we needed coats. Our dinners were hot when they came to the table, but 3 minutes of that icy wind air conditioning (which wasn't really needed) blowing on the linguini made it cold and pastie. We decided to take most of the meal home because we were so uncomfortable, and had to get the manager's attention to go find our waitor. The decor of this location is straight out of the early 1970's. Everything is still dark, hard wooden furniture, that looks like it should have been replaced 30 years ago. The darkness of everything made me wonder if it was really clean. Also the restaurant suggests a tip starting at 18%. I feel a tip is a personal reward for good service, not to pay the wages of the help that serves over-priced food. Suggesting almost 20% over the price of the meal is tacky and uncalled for when the server only carries the plate from the kitchen to the table, then disappears. No refills on drinks, no checking if our dinners were good, no offer of more biscuits, no discount for a...
Read moreToday was my sister's Birthday so we went to Red Lobster because we love Red Lobster...but I am very annoyed/ disappointed with the experience I had...I informed the lady that it was my sister's birthday and if they did anything special...I was informed yes....but towards the end I had to rush to remind the lady that it was my sister's birthday because she was not informed my the previous person.....any way when desert time came the lady placed a candle on someone else's desert at the table causing a whole confusion ......why would you do that..that just doesn't make sense....the original owner of the desert was lucky my sister shared there dessert..what if she hadn't...they would have been waiting for a dessert that never would have came........I hate to pull the race card but if we were a white family the whole thing would have been done perfectly......I notice this every time ...... We are not the type to ever speak up but I was very irritated and said that I was annoyed ....and the waiter laughed/ scoffed rather then saying Im sorry .......I had to chase her down for this birthday dessert....... But then have to whole thing messed up all for a scoop of confusion...... I have had the waitress more then once and she always seemed to be talkative with people around us but not us......and ignored us .....and gave funny looks when we finally got her attention...I'm sorry but I don't know......also why don't they removed dishes ? Is it a...
