During my recent visit to Manor Buffet with my family, we encountered a mix of positive and negative aspects that influenced our overall experience.
Let's start with the positives. Considering the restaurant's popularity and busyness, the wait time was relatively acceptable. We were seated within a reasonable period, which was a plus, given the number of customers they were serving.
The wide variety of food offered at the buffet was impressive. There were numerous options to choose from, catering to various tastes and preferences. This aspect made it easier for everyone in my family to find something they enjoyed.
However, our initial impression of the restaurant was hindered by the unappealing smell of food that greeted us as soon as we entered. Freshening up the atmosphere or improving the air quality in the dining area would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors felt sticky, indicating that they were not adequately cleaned, and the tables appeared to be neglected, lacking any sign of proper cleaning. These hygiene issues detracted from the overall dining experience and left us with a sense of discomfort.
Another area of concern was the washroom. Unfortunately, it was not up to the standards we expected. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance made it a place to avoid, which was disappointing, especially during a family outing.
In conclusion, Manor Buffet offers a decent selection of food and manages the wait time effectively, but there are significant areas that need improvement. The unpleasant smell upon entering the restaurant, coupled with the cleanliness issues, particularly the sticky floors and poorly cleaned tables, detracted from the overall dining experience. Additionally, the unsatisfactory condition of the washroom was a letdown.
We hope that Manor Buffet takes these feedback points seriously and works on enhancing the overall cleanliness and ambiance of their establishment to provide a more enjoyable dining experience for...
Read moreIt wasn't the best Chinese buffet we've ever tried but a very good one definitely. The sushi were not good because of the mushy and tasteless rice, and limited choices (at least for lunch). But fish and seafood dishes as well as vegetable ones were great. And fruit selection and freshness were also good. Don't expect good presentation of desserts and our only disappointment was absence even simple ice cream cups, but still it wouldn't stop us of visiting again. And the value is not bad for the quality and quantity of food.
P.S. After some more visits I surely can say that today we had THE BEST Chinese buffet experience ever and correct my rating to 5**. Came to the opening hour of 11am. Were welcomed with the smile. Everything was on display fresh, hot and ready to enjoy. All the food (except of sushi department) was very yummy and fresh. We "trained" ourselves just to skip sushi and enjoy the rest of the food. Fish and other seafood dishes were out of this world fresh, tender and flavorful. They have al kinds of sausages that was very delicious. They don't do many deserts but todays Mango Flan was just outstanding in flavor, and the fruits displays are always fresh and quite yummy. BTW, now they have a soft ice cream offered with waffle cups, which is a good improvement. The place is very clean and even the bathroom was spotless in the beginning of the day. It would be nice if the customers also did there part in keeping it clean. The service from everyone whom we interacted was great. But the most surprising part is that all of this goodness you can have for a decent price of $12 (in our case as seniors). Thank you to the whole team of this wonderful restaurant for a great service they provide. We'll...
Read moreThis is the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The restaurant is large, and kept very clean. There are many seating areas which makes it feel less cafeteria like, and isolates you a bit from the actual food areas. The selection is very extensive. They have a hibachi station with many options, a carving station which had strip steaks, and roast beef the night we went, and the wall of sushi had so many good options and the fish tasted so fresh. The main buffet area was well stocked with very hot and fresh looking foods. Many seafood/fish options that were exceptional (grilled salmon, crispy coconut shrimp, head-on prawn, crawfish, crab stuffed mushrooms, and many more). Roasted duck, honey chicken, dumplings, lo mien, general Tso's chicken, and on and on and on. Cold/Raw bar selection was nice too, with peel and eat shrimp, mussels, and raw oysters. Even the "American" type fare (pizza, garlic bread, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, etc.) looked well done and fresh. Desert section was good/standard but they DO have the ice cream self serve machines which is awesome. Free refills on beverages was appreciated and friendly staff topped off the experience. The cost for 2 people, and 2 drinks for Friday dinner was $49 inc tax. Seems a little high but it is so absolutely worth it. We ate our monies worth in sushi alone. Definitely will be back for...
