E & M Pet Shop — Attraction in East Los Angeles

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!!The most HORRIBLE place to call itself a pet shop ! The animals are all neglected and can be seen in their developmental deformities. The Ball pythons are all kinked and most likely won't survive to adulthood because of that. They're all housed in one 5 gallon tank. The day gecko being sold for $20 has a deformity on the face where one eye drooped by its neck. The Chameleons are such a shame too because no water is available for them and NO UVB LIGHT!!! Crucial to their health these chameleons are deformed as well with humps on their back. There is a couple of Grammostola Roseas (Rose haired tarantula) kept in deli cups with no space. I asked why can't they be free inside the 10 gallon tank their held in while being in cups. The answer was that the "boss" wouldn't allow it. His boss is his brother ! He told us "a vet comes once a month" . The place doenst even look like it holds a license. Very sad to see the conditions of these creatures. I can't forget about the back room FILLED with birds with missing tails and small cages. I HOPE THIS PLACE GETS EDUCATED ON THEIR WAYS OR...

This place is the worst pet shop ever. I've been buying food for my kids bunny from here for the past two months and everytime with in the week maggots are inside the bag of food. I assumed at first it was because I was leaving the bag open and not covering, that it was my fault. Until recently I bought two fresh bags and a sealed container to store the food, when I notice the maggots again and that it was coming directly from the pet shop. I went back to return it immediately and their only response was "no returns " and that "it's normal for food to have bugs /maggots since it's fresh." I was outraged and disgusted with the service and the quality of food they give their consumers. They should be closed down or at least have a...

From your first pet to your everyday needs come here! I love it here. If you want to support a small business this is the place for you. They have passionate people who love to do what they do. Family owned pet shop that has been here since i was baby. I got my first pet here and always can count on the food they have here. Thank you Max for all you have done for me and my family. They really are great people even through any trial or tribulations. Point is that they have are a long time established business with caring owners.
