The food was great. The atmosphere is beautiful as well. Service on the other hand was interesting. I have served for six years myself so I know what good customer service should look like. I totally understand a group effort in serving. I would like to just be told ahead of time names, who my primary server is and how the tips work. I thought the first server was great, her name is Deondra. She was very informative and kind as my friend and I had several questions relating to the specials and menu. She never made us feel stupid or inferior. That can not be said for our primary waitress who was Erin K. , whom I had no idea was our primary waitress at that. She only filled our waters as she passed the table, never introduced herself or made herself known as our waitress. Once our food order was taken and delivered we never had anyone check how our food was or how we were doing. I understand you desire for us to enjoy the atmosphere but what if my burger was not made how it was suppose to be or what if something else was wrong with the meal . Our glasses did get bare at some points we had to share water from each others glasses. When we waited over a half hour for our check I asked Erin K. as she was filling our water for our waitress. She responded rudely I am your waitress what do you need. That is not how you should respond. I was in customer service and an assistant manager. I attempted to tell her we had no idea and I even apologized for not knowing and she still acted with disrespect through the remainder of our meal. My guest even mentioned it to me that she noticed the disrespect. We then waited 8 or so minutes more for our check. Once she was dropping it off she started to hand it to me and I went to take it from her she jerked it away then placed it in the middle. She made us feel uncomfortable and downgraded. I went up to talk to the hostess about it but she then popped up behind me and said what do you need. I called in today to speak to a supervisor and all she said was sorry that happened we dont want anyone to have that experience. Nothing about actions that will be taken or an attempt to make up for this experience. Just she hopes to see us soon. She was respectful but honestly if it wasn't for Deondra I would take my company else wear. The distance between Terrain at Styers and Devon is the same from my location, and I never had to deal with customer service like this at there location. Overall it was an ok visit but the waitress left a bad taste...
Read moreThis rating is for the garden center and nursery. If I could give negative stars, I would. The quality of the plants is pathetic. So many are over watered, under watered, etiolated, kept in inadequate lighting, misslabeled, broken, scared, rotten - just horrible! The people taking care of these plants have no idea what they are doing: that much is obviously clear. On top of this, the pricing is INSULTING. Anyone buying plants from them needs to have their head examined. Within five miles of this joke-of-a-nursery are several legit places you can buy the same plants of higher quality for a fraction of the cost. $14 for a small, standard pansy? That will buy you a tray at most nurseries. $60 for a $10 juniper? we saw several $60-100 bigger houseplants on sale for $250 or more. I mean, wow. Everything in this store is 200-400% over standard markup. If you're going to grossly overcharge, at least provide quality. The plant selection is nothing special and not worth checking out. The only reason to go is to check their selection of pots, which is extensive, but again - way overpriced. They are obviously preying on the unknowledgeable, because if people knew how much they were over-paying, they wouldn't pay for such low quality. Give your money to charity and go shop at a local nursery instead of throwing your money at these profiteering scammers. It's vulgar. Check your privilege people. What a disgusting display of mindless...
Read moreVery disappointed in Terrain. We bought a large outdoor plant and some tulips for $90. The planted tulip arrangement was $30 and it died within a few days. We tried to return in for simply another flower or a credit towards another purchase. The manager offered 10% off and pointed towards their return policy. I totally understand if i tried returning it after a month and killed it but it didn't last more than 4 days. It's a shame because i've spend several hundred dollars at this store and eat at their cafe. I won't be returning and giving them anymore business. Next time offer a larger percentage on another purchase. I've never tried to get anything for nothing but a 10% discount simply not making us happy customers for the future. I tried to do the right thing in person and talk it through but It was a...
