S7 for battery fix, glue seal they used didn't hold. Next attempt mangled the back panel and paint peeled off one entire side. They wouldnt offer to fix the damage they caused as they claim that's acceptable and part of the repair process...smh.
reply to your response; You replaced the battery in my phone on November 22 2017. I asked whether the battery had a warranty and was told 30 days. I asked if the work done would keep the phones IP67 cert for dust and water-resistance and was told yes. I came back to pick up my phone after 30 minutes as the tech had quoted. The tech came out with the phone to finish the final glue down of the rear. As he was finishing i asked if there was any warranty of back up to the work TC TEKS had completed on my phone. He quoted the 30 day battery warranty and that the glue would hold.
Today, 11/24/17, i came back into your store because the glue seal you provided on the battery repair failed and the rear glass panel was coming off my phone.
The technician mentioned that trying to fix this would cause the paint to peel off. To which i responded by asking what they could do to help with that. The technician mentioned they could order a back panel but that he would need to charge me for it.
I asked why i would need to pay for a new back panel because this new damage would be the result of the correction to the faulty glue seal he had applied for the battery fix.
The technician told me the previous fix was completed and that the paint would peel while he fixed the seal but couldn’t see the point i was trying to make. So i handed him my phone so at least I could get the seal fixed.
I arrived back in another 30 minutes and your other “customer” was still at the front desk emailing on one iMac while watching youtube videos on a macbook pro and texting on her phone at your front desk. I assume she was testing these items for purchase?
i am not sure how she could concentrate on anything further than those 3 screens, but thanks for including her in your response. Classy to try and frame me as uncooperative...
Again the technician was applying the final glue seal at the front desk for me and he informed me that quite a bit of paint peeled off this time but that he hoped the seal would hold this time. Then he began to ask me how i used my phone. I was sort of confused by this and said to text, make calls. He elaborated by asking if i kept it in my back pocket, but i mentioned no, usually its on a desk as i have a gear watch.
Then a second guest walked in. surprisingly your tech did not greet the guest. good guest service i thought.
He finished the glue job in about 5 minutes, still never acknowledging the new guest, and i asked him how much a new back was. He looked it up and told me $25. To which i snarked, cheap way to stand behind your work. I know not great, but it was the best i could come up with.
There was no mention of this service being half the normal cost and the tech never offered it.
I came to your store because I wanted a professional service to fix my phone the right way, rather than me buying a cheap ebay battery, trying to find my way through a youtube how to.
But here I am, TC TEKS now not only refusing to stand behind their work, but lying about the interaction, and trying to make me look bad in the process. 👏👏👍 I will just get a new back for $12 off ebay when your glue...
Read moreUpdated Review I am revising my review and dropping my rating. As a reminder I took a PS5 into TC TEKS because I was experiencing video corruption and then no video signal. It was under 1 year old. The man child that worked there swore that he could fix it, and then kept it for a week and gave it back still broken. Well, I finally have some extra time and money to fix this guy and so I thought I would fix it up. This kid broke the fan connection on the motherboard, didn’t tell me then stole my hard drive. (Photos are included) I had no reason to suspect it, not to check because they are supposedly licensed and bonded except good luck filing a claim against them. Scam artists, and charlatans. I have called and they won’t return my calls. If they can’t fix it they will salvage what they want from your products and they won’t tell you. Sad criminal little operation. You owe me $500 for a new play station5, and I want my $119 back that you charged me to steal my PS5 parts and break the rest of my ps5. Shame on you.
(Original review before I opened the unit) 2 stars for friendliness. I took my PS5 in for a video issue, no video was being displayed. When I took my PS5 into them it turned on and everything just fine, only no video. Now it won’t turn on. They replaced the video encoder because they tested the HDMI and said it was fine. I paid $110 brought my PS5 back and the buttons beep, but it won’t boot on, I took the outer case off and come to find that the fan is not even plugged in but what’s worse the 3 pin port to plug in the fan is missing altogether. I have to say my ratings go as follows: niceness 5 stars.

Read moreBrought in device for repair and was told that the screen would have to be replaced if they break it!!?? of course the screen was replaced. Was not told they would replace it with a cheap after market screen that broke right away from just regular handling. Went back to get it looked at and was told it would not be covered under warranty as it was broken. The screen broke because of the cheap replacement and that is the bottom line. Not only does my iPad not work now but the home button that has nothing to do with the repair does not work either. Customer service would suggest you inform the customer of the parts you use and if they are not oem. After continuing to argue with me and banging another iPad screen on the desk in front of my face the rude employee there said I would get a call from the owner. Guess what? Never got a call and I even gave them 5 days to call. Had to call them back to see if they could help... got the same answer. These guys do not stand behind their work. I would recommend other local repair places. Being in sales and customer service, this is not how you handle an unhappy customer. Not doing business there again and will recommend other businesses to all my customers and friends.
