This review isn't about the shopping selection which in my opinion is mediocre. Very middle of the road to lower tier department "stores". There's really only two of them, unless you count Target. My problem is with the encounter I had today 1/28/18. My mother and myself had just left a movie and my brother was waiting for us outside AMC. Sidenote, my brother had been walking around the mall while we were in the movie theater. Anyway, as we were about to get on the escalator we were approached by a plain colthed security personnel. She wanted to speak to my brother about a call she had received regarding to him taking pictures in the mall. She went on to inform us that it is against mall policy to take pictures due to something with adevertising. I don't remember the exact words, but it I know advertising was mentioned. It's probably an infringement of some sorts. My brother showed her his pictures which had nothing to do with advertising. He's into abstract photography and this is what he looks for. Once I got home I wanted to find a number to contact mall management. I found the number on google, but I'd also found almost 200 pictures taken from within the mall. Some of these were from what I'm guessing was an approved photography firm, but more of them were from regular citizens, including video. This all seems very contradictive to what we were told today. The whole thing seemed as if my brother was being singled out based upon his apperance and the security person was using this policy to pry into what his business was in the mall. I'm not surprised with this situation one bit. This past December we were there and were followed by the Eden Prairie police after we had passed by them. It doesn't bother me. In fact, I laugh since they're wasting their time as I've...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Eden Prarie Center is a shopping mall in Eden Prarie, Minnesota. As of the last time I was there, they are anchored by JC Penney, Target and Kohls. There are other stores located at this center. It is not a huge mall, like Mall of America, so it is easy to navigate and get around. They have a kids play area and a nice food court. There is plenty of parking. It has public restrooms. It is handicapped friendly. I personally like the Target store, because you can get just about everything you need at that store. Their employees are friendly too. If you use their Red Card credit card, you get 5% off all your purchases all the time. Sometimes they offer 10% as a promotion. The Center is easy to get to by freeway, from any part of the Twin Cities. The 1995 film " Mallrats" was filmed at this Mall! Although it looks different then the movie due to many upgrades since that movie came out. This mall also has a Van Maur Department store and an AMC movie complex. Take your family and friends to this mall and enjoy the time you spend there! It is a nice and...

Love that place. So many memories. Eden Prairie mall has been consistantly awesome for four decades. Who knows how long prior, I'll only stick to personal experience on this one. Used to bring ham into the movie theater from the Old Country Buffet. Mom would smuggle it in her purse wrapped in napkins.
Speaking.
One time at Old Country Buffet I dressed as a ninja turtle using their toilet paper. One ply ScottsTM and I loose all sympathy. Ya know?
That was the mall I set my hackey-sack record of .. jeez. Two hundred and somthin.. I wanna say around 260.
I could tap it on the end of my foot with little effort so it sounds more impressive than it was.
Oh, speaking.
I was in the motion picture Mallrats.
I get to say it like that but really the back of my shirt and my backwards hat are in the movie. You can see a wisp of my then shoulder length blonde hair. I was a weird kid. ๐ค
Anyway, I was just there at the AMC with mom. Now we smuggle in...
