I'm very upset that there isn't a 5-Star+ rating. I am making sure I'm going so beyond out of my way that I'm not only in a different area and ZIP code, that I'm in another country and make sure it is well-known to EVERYBODY regarding my experience here.
Long story short (I lied, it's a bit long), I needed somewhere nearby here to stay and be great value that was a Marriott property so that I could relax after my chemo and not have to drive 50 minutes back home. Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott - Minneapolis/Eden Prairie fit the bill beyond perfectly. My original credit card ended up being blocked due to fraud, so I'm paying for this out of my checking. I had only enough for the stay and one nights incidental deposit ($20/night).
Lauren when I came by to check in accommodated my financial strife with J.P. Morgan Chase not knowing anything about me. She treated me with dignity and respect in the most kind, human way possible. She changed my room type to my preferred room, location of the room so it's close to the car chargers out back AND gave me water from the fridge (though I think that could be a perk of being Titanium Elite). The sheer humanity that woman shown me along with her up-beat can-do attitude made me feel whole again after having life drag me through the trenches lindd with barbed wire. It was so much of a profound impact I literally started to bawl.
I called Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite Customer Care and made sure along with them I went out of my way for them to be made very aware of her kind humanity and that I'm not requesting for them to recognize her, I told them that they WILL recognize her. There's seriously no other option. She's genuine Earth Golden Diamond and is too valuable of an asset to the Marriott brand to not recognize.
I will be staying again, though there are many other hotels, even within Marriott -- this very establishment I am more than beyond ecstatic to be giving my hard-earned dollars to. Now I will tell you to...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel a few years ago. We were disappointed then but wanted to give them another try. Their TripAdvisor reviews indicated great Covid procedures in place which was very appealing to us. Upon checking in, we were delighted to be handed a letter from the hotel manager Outlining the Covid procedures in place. However that was the extent of the highlights of the stay. When we checked into the room there was a noticeable stain on the top sheet of the bed. We also noticed that the room looked quite neglected. The main door to the room was dirty on the inside, the walls were dirty, the bottom of the bathtub was dirty, and the door to the bathroom did not shut properly. Although they say the rooms are sanitized for each guest, i’ll be on the surface areas it did not feel clean but felt more neglected. We also noticed that there were multiple large spiders in the window which prevented us from opening it (we were actually in the same room a few years prior for our first stay, mention the spiders at that time, and saw that there were now more). There were also ants in the room which we saw almost every morning on the little bit of garbage we had from the evening prior (we took the garbage out every morning). The breakfast area appeared clean however tables were rarely washed between guests. The breakfast attendants also did not wear any face coverings while preparing the food. Most of the front desk staff did wear a mask. There was also a policy in place where pool access had to be granted by the front desk as there were some construction going on. One of the days we were there, the front desk attendant left the pool door ajar so she would not have to be bothered by this. Overall, even though I received an amazing rate for the hotel and love Fairfield Inns, it was very disappointing and we probably will...
Read moreWe travel a good bit and have usually stayed at bigger facilities but none have had the staff we found at the Fairfield Inn in Eden Prairie. We had made last minute plans to go to Minneapolis to see my husband's younger brother who had just entered hospice. Could not find a room until we hit on the Fairfield Inn. Reserved the room but before we could leave on the trip my brother-in-law died. The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful in rearranging our stay for the following week for the funeral, not charging us a fee to cancel the original reservation and just being plain out KIND. Two other family members traveling from out-of-state also stayed at the facility based on our recommendation. The first morning we were there, we were sitting in the breakfast area prior to the funeral and James, the chef, came up and offered to get me juice and whatever else I wanted to drink. He had noticed I was "drinkless" and offered. When he brought my tea and juice back, he asked if we were in town for fun or business and when I told him we were there for a funeral, he was again so KIND. We talked a little about family and his home town of New Orleans and I felt I knew him a bit by the time we left. He let us sit at the tables with the other family members until it was time to leave for the funeral and again, was just so kind. The place felt like family by the time we left two days later to go home. Couldn't have come at a better time. Beyond that, our two concerns, wherever, we stay, are cleanliness and safety. The cleanliness of both our room and the common areas was exceptional. And the location is safe. We...
