Escape Salon and Spa — Attraction in Edwardsville

I booked an appointment for lash extensions. I had an emergency personal situation come up and due to the very strict cancellation policy I was still charged $90 even though I cancelled the day before, but because it was a full 24 hours in advance I was still charged. I would also like to state that it fell only two hours short of the full 24 hours. I had issues inititally with internet that made me have problems getting to the site to cancel. I understand I signed the cancellation policy but personal situations arose and I feel the cancellation fee is to high and there should more of a cushion for the cancellation window since the charge is so high. The whole thing just makes me not want to reschedule...

I tried to change my appointment 2 1/2 days prior because I didn't have the money to come in, which is well within the time frame for changing an appointment as stated on their website. They attempted to charge my card, I guess fortunately I didn't have the money in my bank account. I assumed it was a mishap, but when I called, the person answering the phone on Sunday morning, December 18, 2022, at approximately 10:30 am, was extremely hateful. She continually talked over me, and would not.listen to what I had to say at all, until I told her if they tried to charge my card again, I would get a lawyer. UPDATE: I did hear back from the owner and she was very apologetic and offered to make it right which I appreciated. That's not what I was looking for but she saw my review and wanted for me to know that's not how they operate. They recently bought the business and have let go of some employees that weren't a fit for where they wanted to take the business. She was very sincere too.
