We booked one of the rooms that had a Jacuzzi. It was our anniversary we live close by and I wanted it because I had had hip surgery and need another hip surgery and needed the Jacuzzi. The plug was broken when we got there it would not hold water the drawer handle was broke off the drawer and would not stay closed light on left side of bed broke with no lightbulb. The girl that checked us in was very nice but when I spoke with the manager, she was very, very, very rude. We ended up having to buy our own plug from Home Depot. The manager sent one of her employees. I think she was housekeeping to check the plug. She put the old plug in there, but it was not holding water like we said. The manager basically called me a liar four separate times at the front desk before she sent the lady up there. She sent the lady back with a lightbulb, which didn’t matter because the lamp was broke anyway it could not be turned on. And I had requested some type of compensation for the first night since we were so inconvenienced so she sent the lady up there with a $25 gift certificate to Texas roadhouse and $6.00 cash for plug. All of this is fine, except for the rudeness of the manager the reason they got a two star for Service is because the lady that came up there And did what the manager should have done was very nice and the people that clean the rooms very nice the manager delegated something that she should’ve done she’s the manager she should have came to our room and been polite to us instead of being rude and sending an employee to do her job. That’s what Management is someone that supposed to know how to talk to people, but she clearly does not. then we came home and saw on our checking account that we were double charged. I tried to call again nicely and figure it out and she went on saying that it happens to everybody that’s why you shouldn’t use a debit card, but this was not told to us upon check-in. Supposedly this should be reversed out and she blamed it on our bank. Then she hung up on me and refused to answer phone when I called back. The ONLYthing good about our stay was the breakfast. We will NEVER GO BACK. and I live here so I will Definitely be telling everyone in Edwardsville and Granite City about out experience. I have videos of everything I’m talking about, but it will only let me post pictures and coffee pot dirty.

Great hotel, great staff, and great cozy cuffy rooms. Breakfast is very basic but cant complain when its free. Hotel has guest laundry service which saved me. I had peach juice apill all over my sweaters for wark and thankfully i was able to wash them. Thank you for a great stay

Stopped over for one night whilst driving through the US. Friendly staff and a clean, comfortable room. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was included in our stay, consisted of waffles, cereal, sandwiches, yogurt.

VETERANS BEWARE!!! WRONGLY CHARGED!!! ANTS IN ROOM 314 AND 214!!! THE OWNER DID NOT CARE!!! First, shoutout to Ms. Becky in housekeeping. She always provided excellent service and was always very kind to me. Scott was pleasant but limited in his ability to make adjustments for room charges. Mariah was easygoing and she took care of my needs as well. I started coming to this hotel around 2019 once a month just to soak in the jacuzzi tub. I loved it. It was centrally located and quiet. I overlooked some things in the hotel due to the good customer service.

In August 2020, I stayed at the hotel for 1 month due to an upcoming out of state move. I was promised a suite for a set price of $65/day tax free and would only be charged weekly tax free. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Upon check in, front desk (Mariah) attempted to run my card for the full 30 day taxed amount. It was rejected. Days later Scott ran my card for 1 week at the taxed rate. Two weeks went by before the owner (Diane) decided to charge my card for the tax free amount. One day later, Scott ran my card for another week for the taxed amount. Scott corrected the balance upon checkout.

I would like to highlight Diane's lack of attention to my need. I woke up from a nap to find ants all over the A/C unit. I immediately went to the front desk to see if I could switch rooms or if someone could come spray Raid. Diane told me they didn't have anything for the ants and apologized and said there's nothing she can do. She did say someone would be in the next day to tend to the problem and gave me a little cup with a few drops of vinegar to drive the ants away. HA! I was in a state of shock and went to get my personal can of Raid to take care of the bugs (no one came the next day). Staff can check the cameras because I have dates and pics. I would've went to another hotel but was pressed for money and only had a few days left in Illinois.

After seeing the ants again Scott kindly gave me a spa room (214). The microwave didn't work and there was a large humidifier in the room that was extremely loud. Awesome! lol I spent good money at this hotel and was sorely disappointed at the service I received toward the end of my stay.....especially the owner who refused to even compensate me when there were ants in my room. I wasn't the only patron who had ants in their room. There were complaints that rooms near laundry had ants as well.

I attempted to contact Stays Inn to complain and send pictures but it was to no avail. I have spread the word to as many people as possible and will continue to do so. This place makes good money and the condition of the hotel is not that great. The elevator is dated and dirty, and some rooms need some TLC. There were smeared stains on the walls and the carpets had an old smell. The ants were the icing on the cake. I would suggest a stay at the Holiday Inn or the newly built Townplace Suites in...

My husband and I decided to get away for an evening so we went for dinner and then decided to get a jacuzzi room for the night. Not something we do very often!! I googled places nearby Troy where we were having supper, found this place and called. It was 7:22 pm and luckily they had an available room so we had it held, and drove from Troy to the location in edwardsville. We arrived approximately 7:45 checked in my husband checked in so I'm not sure how much it was and didn't really care. We were splurging on us for once!! The room was clean and spacious jacuzzi tub left a lot to be desired but that wasn't a big deal. Tried to relax and could not get comfortable the bed was awful I think the floor would have been softer!! Kept hearing doors slam that on top of people outside in the gazebo which we could hear over the TV coupled with the very uncomfortable bed sent us packing at 1 am where we found no one at the front desk so we left a note and our room key and drove home.. I called after we left and spoke to a young lady that said she would have the manager call me the next day which didn't happen. So I called again Sunday this time a man answered and said I would get a call on Monday that however did not happen either. So now it is Tuesday and I call yet again and am told that they would refund $25 of the room charge since we were in it for more than three hours. Would have been in it till check out times if conditions had been better!! Their reasoning for the minimal refund was that they could have rented it out to someone else??? At 8 o'clock at night???? Really then I was told that were were completely booked that night then she contradicted herself by asking if we had called down to the front desk they could have switched us rooms UMMM thought rooms were all booked?????? So after this phone call I am now waiting on yet another phone call to see if they can do better than $25 I know the room was $128 before tax not sure what the final total was but really $25 I do not appreciate being treated like I'm crooked or something I rarely complain and if that's the way people are treated that stay here i strongly recommend not staying at this establishment!!!!

Update: was told earlier today Tuesday (three days since leaving complaints) by the front desk manager that she would contact the owner and get back to me as of 6:18 pm I have not received any...
