If you are thinking about ordering takeout from Singkawang Cafe (they offer delivery via Uber Eats), my suggestion is to avoid this option. Actually, considering their rudeness and disregard for customer service, my suggestion would be to find an alternative location. Singkawang Cafe messed up an order of 6 items from Uber Eats, preparing only half the items ordered (total of 3/6 prepared). That's okay, people make mistakes. When I called, they said that they messed up the order, and apologized, they could clearly see the order chit which had six items on it. I was upset at this point because my wife and children were hungry and we had half of our order ready. But the icing on the cake was when we spoke to the restaurant management in person, they changed their story saying that it was Uber Eats that made the mistake, only sending half the order to them. It is this dishonesty that made me write this review. Mistakes made, yes, it happens. Lying about it to the customer to cover your mistakes, that's another story. All we asked for was for the restaurant to cover the delivery charge since we had to go pick up the order ourselves (we even told them restaurant credit would be fine), and we were refused. I've ordered from this restaurant several times previously, but this time would be our last. Very...

This mom-and-pop spot is an absolute treasure! Not only do they serve authentic and delicious Indonesian and Thai dishes, but they also have a small Indo grocery section stocked with snacks, chips, cookies, and Indo noodles you must try and take home.
We ordered Tom Yum Shrimp, Nasi Campur, and Kangkong – every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Tom Yum soup especially is a must-try, especially on a chilly day – warm, tangy, and comforting.
For drinks, we had Thai Coffee and Thai Iced Tea – both rich, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. As a bonus, they treated us to a red bean dessert that was so delicious and satisfying.
The vibe here is super relaxed – you can even stop by during the day for a drink and snack, bring your laptop, and chill here. Honestly, it’s better than most coffee shops!
Highly recommend this place to support a wonderful small business. If you live nearby, make this your go-to for flavorful comfort food and...
Read moreIt was an Indonesian Thai restaurant that had a small section of mini Mart with Indonesian snacks. I love to buy my kecap Manis refill and mie telor to cook my mie goreng.
The service was A+ friendly waitress and owner. Has been open for 5 years and they're 2 miles away from the Medan kitchen.
We ordered nasi campur (mixed rice) and it had really good crispy pork! The jump noodle tasted good but I am not a fan of small yellow noodles (similar to Hong Kong noodles) and I wished they used a bigger type of chewy noodle, smells good tho. Use the hot sauce to elevate the taste. The empek2 was a bit off. The texture was too soft, not crunchy enough and the sauce was more savory than sweet and tangy.
Es doger was good but I wonder if they can add more tape and filling and make it less sweet?
They gave us a black rice dessert which I enjoyed!
I would love to try their nasi goreng and Laksa next time. You can see the badminton court from the restaurant side door :)
Thank you for your...
