El Taquito — Restaurant in El Monte

Wow! Great food and great service. My wife can't get over how good their menudo is and that she can order it with special requests such as no hominy, with feet or cartilage, etc. She rates the menudo the best she's had in SoCal.

I'm here for their salsa; the hottest in all of SoCal and I've been to many hot spots. The salsa is so good that I buy a container of it to go every time. And with their jalapeños torreados to accompany their salsa, I'm in a full sweat halfway through my meal. If you like spicey, you won't be disappointed. So far, I've had their sopes and their chorizo breakfast plate......great meals!

The only downside is I live in Chino Hills and it takes 30 minutes to get here with...

Love this place! Delicious homestyle mexican food. No use in trying to recommend one specific dish because they are all great. Everything I've tried from the wet burrito- the chilaquiles - the sopes- enchiladas etc.. are absolutely amazing. Seating on two sides of the restaurant. Aguas frescas are fresh made and so good. The coffee is also delicious with a hint on cinnamon. No decaf though. Weekends can be a little busy but the menudo and pozole are worth it. The owner is so nice. Makes you feel right at home. Definitely recommend...

Love this place. Close to home and it's delicious. Always get chicken cheese verde enchiladas with beans and rice. The green are best and the red enchiladas are just as delicious. With a Mexican coke tab comes out to about $21 bucks. For delicious food I don't mind. Service is no complaints and is fine.
