Food King — Attraction in El Paso

I had a really upsetting experience at this Food King location in El Paso, Texas (1840 Lee Treviño Dr, Ste 704) on June 12th around 8:30 PM. I was trying to get the attention of a worker—she was Hispanic and wearing a black apron—in one of the aisles. I called out politely, but she didn’t hear me at first. A couple of nearby customers saw me trying and even stopped her to let her know I was calling her.

She turned around, looked right at me as I waved, then just turned her back and walked straight into the back room without saying a word. The other customers were shocked and even apologized to me for her behavior. One of them said, “That was crazy,” and helped me find another employee.

I left the store feeling frustrated and honestly humiliated. As a Black woman, I felt invisible and disrespected. No one should be treated like that, especially in a customer service setting. That kind of behavior is completely...

I recently started shopping at Food King upon the recommendation of my neighbor and friend because we both agree that the Albertsons on Montwood just gouges people with their terribly high prices and less than desirable products frequently, such as vegetables and fruits, to name a couple. I am so pleased with this Food King on Lee Trevino. Everyone is very friendly, the store is clean, people are helpful and prices are good. I don’t think I will be returning to Albertsons unless it’s for some particular item that Food King may not carry. I wish they had a little larger selection. Food king, I am going through share a secret for those who love energy drinks. In food king, all energy drinks are $1and some cents that is a massive comparison to the corner stores that put the energy drinks to $2.99 plus tax comes,to$4 some of them$3.80. food king not only for that but because all of the food it's completely free of tax they only charge you a a certain fee it's a great place it's clean I personally go there for my energy drinks but I have seen the aisles and they're clean the people are very gorgeous in the way they treat people thank you.
