I recently moved to a new area and was excited to find Breathe Pilates Studio nearby. I was eager to try it out, but unfortunately, my first experience wasn’t as positive as I had hoped. When I arrived, the instructor greeted me, but didn’t mention that socks were required. After I started setting up, she approached me in a rather abrupt and aggressive manner to explain how to use the equipment. It felt uncomfortable, as if she was annoyed that I wasn’t familiar with the tools. Later, she informed me that socks were mandatory, so I had to purchase a pair from them, which cost $30. I wasn’t planning to buy socks since I already had some at home, but I complied. Throughout the class, I felt a tense energy from her. Her feedback was inconsistent; she gave praise, but if I did something wrong, her corrections felt rough and almost aggressive. This made me feel quite uncomfortable, especially as a first-time visitor. While the studio itself is nice and had the potential to be a great fit for me, the instructor's attitude and approach left me hesitant about returning. I’m giving two stars because the facility is good, but the experience with the instructor was not what I expected or wanted.

I have attended 2 classes a week for a little over a year. My instructor was usually Gretchen. Any time Gretchen couldn’t be there, a substitute with comparable skills took over. I hadn’t realized how much my body had learned until the pandemic forced me to stay home. I started deep cleaning my house, often the positions that I needed to get into were difficult to get into. Getting out of those positions with a modicum of grace would have been impossible. I’m grateful to Gretchen and her entire staff for what I have learned. They are offering virtual classes via Zoom.

Took two classes while I was here on a layover. Their buy-one-get-one offer is great! I loved the detailed queues and dedication to proper form. Great pilates reformer springboard and jump board class.

At about 6 months postpartum I was ready to get back into moving my body after neglecting exercise throughout my pregnancy and early postpartum days. I found Breathe through reviews and a few friends and I haven’t looked back since. I started with a few private sessions to evaluate where I stood and was able to move into group classes from there. The instructors are unbelievably knowledgeable about all things Pilates and due to the small class sizes it feels like you are getting one on one instruction throughout every class. Everyone has always been warm and very welcoming and attending these classes is my “me time” that I look forward to each week. I’ve always jumped around to different studios because I wasn’t sure what I liked or I didn’t feel comfortable enough in the classes, but I feel like I finally found my happy place. I highly recommend Breathe Pilates to anyone looking for a friendly, personalized...

I call Breathe Pilates Studio my 'life support system'. Gretchen's classes and instruction have helped me refine my Pilates practice. I am stronger and more confident not only in the studio but in my day to day life. That's the real gem of Pilates. It doesn't just make you stronger and more flexible but more importantly it has a positive impact on all aspects of life. Claudiane's classes are fun and challenging. She has a background in physical therapy and has helped me tailor my practice to accommodate old injuries. I call Hannah "the iron fist in a velvet glove" Her teaching style is gentle yet surprisingly challenging. All the instructors are top notch! The studio is clean and cozy without being crowded. The classes are friendly and welcoming. Bonus, there's plenty...
