The food’s okay, the staff is pleasant enough, restrooms are relatively clean, seats are okay, and getting tickets online and walking in a few minutes before a showing is easily done and convenient. However, I’ve consistently found (in the past year) that the concessions tend to be severely understaffed with wait times of around 20 to 30 minutes, which makes a normally easy experience somewhat more difficult. Beyond this, the singular true issue I have with this theater is its massive lack of security. I’ve gone both on Friday and Saturday nights in the past few months and have had the misfortune of seeing screenings with very disrespectful, disruptive, and inattentive guests. These guests tend to be around high-school age children without their parents who talk loudly with each other, run around the theater, sit in seats that they’ve clearly not been assigned to, and text throughout the entirety of the movie. It’s also evident that many of these children did not buy tickets to get into the theater, since many get displaced out of their seats by customers who have actually paid for their seats. Security, which only gets involved once things have escalated to critical mass, have only marginal success in either controlling or removing these guests. A possible suggestion would be to check customer tickets before they enter the theater to ensure that people who enter are also people who have paid, and to have more stringent security present during showings. I’ve had enough frustrating experiences for me to leave an actual review. While I’ve enjoyed my experiences at this theater in the more distant past, disruptive guests like these make viewings for paying customers a complete and utter pain. I sincerely hope that my higher expectations of this theater will be met...
Read moreThis theater is about 45-60 min away from where I live. The one in my town is a smaller theater company that is dirty and smells like urine and mold. The Regal at Sandhill is worth the drive as it is clean, doesn't smell, and has a large parking lot that you dont have to worry about your car window being smashed and robbed. The area that this Regal in is really nice because if you want there is places to shop and eat at before or after your movie. And if not they have a few menu options besides popcorn and candy at the theater. The concessions always has a wait so you have to go a little early. We try to go during the day so it isn't as bad but there is only 1 worker so even if there is only 1 or 2 people it still seems like a long wait. A few times oN the weekends no matter the time or during an evening show during the week the que area had a very long line and with a few workers it took a very long time. It's not really a bad thing but just recommending going earlier. The Regals in Florida where I lived all have transitioned to have the reclining chairs so we stopped going to them as much but the Regal at Sandhill in Columbia. SC still has regular seating which I enjoy much better. Very happy that they haven't transitioned. (I fall asleep during movies of I have a recliner.. lol) one of the best features if their rewards program, it's free. You can earn free tickets, concessions, and other great prizes. My other favorite thing about Regal is that they use Atom! I love ordering my tickets and concessions with Atom. I just walk in scan my phone and there's a special line just for the app to pick up your concessions then you can sit. They are very very fast at attending to the concessions...
Read moreMy grandson and his friends went to the movies on 09/13/2025 some pre bought their tickets online. The others had to purchase tickets. My grandson rode with me the other boys rode with his friend’s grandmother. His friend grandmother went in with them I parked by the movie theater and waited. After 40 minutes they came running to the car saying they were kicked out for no reason. They said a man said the black boys were making too much noise and he couldn’t watch the movie even though his child was making noise. This is there first time going to this movie they were 15 years old they got kicked out the. Movie I asked where was Ms Cynthia the other grandmother they said she fell asleep while in the movies. She comes out later after contacting her they are frantic telling her what happened they don’t get a refund could not explain themselves to the security and didn’t see but 40 minutes of the movie all because a man said these black boys are making too noise that’s how he said it. While his child makes noise and pirates like my grandson and his friends were felt they were criminals and their feelings were hurt. I need to look at this video they said they made only a snicker at movie not an outburst. This was not a positive experience for them they were happy to get out this was new to them. First time as teenagers having an outing...
