Visited KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot at Sandhills yesterday for lunch, & took some dear neighbors along with us to treat them to their first "KPOT" experience.

We visited around 1pm, and were promptly seated, our hostess explained how it all works, & we decided to enjoy the combination hotpot/bbq dining experience, so we weren't limited to the items we could choose from.

The food was delicious, and service was on point. The atmosphere was very relaxed & folks positioned at various stations helpful in explaining what certain items were, and in helping us adjust the table broth burners & grill so everything was cooked properly.

As this was our first visit to this establishment, I have to say the restaurant exceeded our expectations with the quality of the food & service.

Everything was on point, from service to food selections. As one of the folks we treated for lunch was on "babysitting" duty that afternoon, we had a little one with us (quite the well behaved 7 month old) who seemed fascinated by their surroundings, and if there is any critique that we could mention that certainly was NOT a deal breaker, but just something for management to consider - they may want to consider adding a "changing station" in the ladies rest room.

We actually discussed this amongst ourselves when it was discovered there was none, and the conclusion we came to was due to the hotpot nature of the venu, perhaps the restaurant is not really "baby friendly" to prevent little ones from touching the hot grills or hot-spots on the table, but we weren't discouraged from dining there by entering with a youngin', and (in all honesty) it should be a parent or guardian's responsibility to look after their children, that being said though, if patrons (like us) who dined here did have an infant in tow, and the need to change the baby came about, a simple baby changing table/stand in the rest room would be a welcome addition, just a suggestion to management.

All in all, we enjoyed a very delicious dining experience, and will definately be back to enjoy this KPOT Korean BBQ/HotPot experience again, and would very much recommend giving this restaurant a try if you've never...

This is me and my bf's fourth time at this location and each experience has been wonderful. When you walk in your greeted by a friendly hostess who ask if this is your first time or not. You can choose to do the bbq or hot pot. We always choose the bbq i do eventually want to try the hot pot. Inside is always very neat, clean and organized i would say they are more busy towards the late afternoon evening time. The atmosphere is very lively, and fun they sing happy birthday to their customers. Once your seated at your booth your waiter brings you a menu to select your items you can tell him/her want you want or you can use the tablet to order your food. i enjoy the tablet because we can take our time ordering what we want and not hold up the waiter at our table. You have 2hrs to eat your meal they also charge i believe $13 per pound of uneaten food so order what you can eat dont waste food. They have a bar towards the right side of the restaurant where you can choose your dipping sauce, seasoning, and sides. Your grill will be turned on while your order is placed so make sure to let your waiter know what temperature suits you the best for cooking your meal. They do come by frequently to pick up empty plates or trays, always asking if you need anything which is super helpful. All the waiters we have had were so friendly, professional and available. Over all i truly love coming here im actually addicted to their garlic shrimp and spicy pork belly omg its delicious. They have amazing drink options i would recommend the pomegranate lemonade, watermelon iced tea and strawberry daiquiri. If you want to check out their menu you can look it up on line to get...

We came here to have a kid-free anniversary outing. We’d been wanting KPOT for a while and we saw on a billboard they had opened so we thought we’d stop in and try out the new (and closer to us) location.

I can see inconvenience arising with close parking availability but we got there kind of early, so it wasn’t a problem this time.

The atmosphere was bright and the decor was trendy and eye catching. The host staff were all welcoming and kind. There was upbeat music playing at a reasonable volume. It was a great overall vibe. The design of this location is very nice.

We were waited on by Keon, who was very attentive and cheery. He informed us that it was actually their first full night for the public. This fortunately had no ill effect on the service.

The food was great, we chose to go with the hotpot and KBBQ, everything tasted amazing and came to the table very quickly. The little bar of extras had very delicious kimchis and ripe fruit available. There were more add ons but I didn’t go for them out of personal desire.

The cleanup service was fast to intercept any used and empty plates and Keon checked on us regularly, with a smile, to make sure we were taken care of.

I think my one criticism would be about the crowding of the staff in the middle aisle on the way to the add on bar. I understand it’s the way to the kitchen as well as where some were monitoring tables, but keeping it moving or over to one side would be best in that area.

I can’t speak for the rest of the night, but they definitely started out strong and left a great impression on us. We will happily be making this our primary KPOT location. Well done and keep up...

I’ve been to some Korean BBQ places before including a higher end one in New York. This place is very good for a chain. The ingredients were very fresh and they have a great selection to choose from including an appetizer bar with different kimchi options and a do it yourself sauce bar.
