I love Mattano Park. I grew up playing in this park among others and it is one of my favorites. Although it may smell awful at times due to the river nearby (especially during the summer), the park itself is definitely worth visiting. It has bathrooms, a water fountain (not sure if it still works), a little spray park area, two separate playgrounds (two of which are for smaller children), a soccer field with night lights, a volleyball court, basketball courts, a baseball area with sand, a metal exercise station, two circular paths that you can walk or run on, a circular area of tables atop a hill, and a skate park. This park has a plethora of trees, tables, and benches so you can enjoy the park under the shade on hot summer days. This park is spacious and offers wonderful sunset views.
