Pizzeria Montevideo — Restaurant in Elizabeth

Pizza is very authentic… However the place looks so run down , filthy and dated , that it needs “ amor a la camiseta” to eat there. I am Uruguayan and try to support Uruguayan places, but come on! WAKE UP AND MAKE THE PLACE LOOK NICE AND CLEAN! Service is ok, but from the moment you park in the back you can see the “ dejadez” Garbage on the parking lot, planters with no plants, the doors from outside look disgustingly dirty!! It seems there is no love there… No air conditioning, with almost 100 F , 2 people eating inside when I went to pick up the pizza, and they were sweating like crazy! It is a disservice for the employees and for customers as well. I don’t know who the owner is, but a mini- split air conditioner and soap and water could be the least he/she can do. Super...

The place is ok at best. The service is mediocre not very friendly or experienced. As for the food, if you go early on the week you most likely have left overs from the weekend and if you go during lunch then your getting left overs from the previous night. The best time to go is from Thursday onward. I found that on friday, saturday and sunday the food taste better. Food was bland and the portion of steak on the Chivito al Plato was very thin and small. They fill you up on potatoes and rice with little to no meat to go with it. The service was horrible because the waiter was on his phone and never came yo the table to get my order.
