This was not our best escape room experience. We have done 18 now all over the country, and we really like supporting local ones and not chains. The ones who came with us for the first time enjoyed it. We felt like many of the clues didn’t logically lead to the answers. One of the answers we got but the lock was stuck and they had to come in and open themselves because we tried correct code several times so wasted time because we then started trying other codes which of course weren’t right. When we first got there, the staff wasn’t very friendly and we felt like information they gave us was contradictory. They weren’t rude, we just didn’t feel very welcome and my husband commented right off the bat that he didn’t think he would have a good time. Maybe our experience is unique and we just caught them on an “off” day. We did get out with over 10 minutes to spare, but we didn’t feel like we got to discover and have the “aha” moments in this one like we have with so many others. We did the CSI room. We felt like at the beginning, even once we got a clue, it was still pretty difficult to figure out even the first puzzle just to get started. Then the same thing happened with the second puzzle. But once we got rolling, it was a lot better. We won’t be back but hope everyone else who goes really enjoys their...
Read moreCompleted the Jigsaw room. This a 1st gen room. I don’t mind 1st gen rooms but this one doesn’t flow and there are no riddles or clues to guide you from one lock to another. This is the main reason for this room being challenging. The lack of flow does not make a room challenging, it just makes a player rely on randomness to be successful. Challenging should require the use of logic and depth of a puzzle. Our host was awful so when we asked for clues, she just gave us answers and not hints to solve the puzzle. I later found out she does not even know how to solve the room or how a player would know to input that lock combination. Hence the lack of direction and just providing the answers. Even with the answers, there was a puzzle I had no clue how you would figure that out. I have complete 50+ escape rooms. This ranks...
Read moreThis was our first time going to an escape room. We thought it would be a fun family experience, and I’m so glad we decided to go! We did the CSI room, 3 adults and 2 teenagers, and it was more challenging than we thought it would be. It really made us think outside the box and work together. There was some frustration with everyone wanting to be heard and stepping over each other…but everyone contributed something and we escaped! The ladies that run the games were wonderful and very helpful when we needed clues. We are definitely going back when we can get everyone...
