Ackley Park — Attraction in Elk City

It's a big beautiful park with a carousel, miniature golf, a small train that goes along and over a decent sized pond that kids can fish from. It also has tennis courts, a large playground, and the city pool. The only downside is all the activities are open for maybe a third of the year. How I found this out was I checked out its website and on its main page it said the parks activity hours were from 6 - 10 I believe. It went on to promote the park and the activities, nowhere on this main page did it mention that it's only open for a third of the year. I took my son there to play mini golf and couldn't figure why no one showed. Well in a random spot of the website at the very bottom of the page in small print it said parks only open from Memorial day till Labor day. With the exception of Christmas in the park in December. I'm visiting from a town thats about 2 hours away, and i get on the website to see what this park has to offer, it shows all these activities that can be done at this park on the "Parks" page, but then when you click on the actual park page for Ackley Park, it shows NOTHING, no schedules, no activities, no nothing. I would think that if you had all these activities, and you wanted your visitors to enjoy them, maybe a schedule, or atleast a list of activities that can be done doing certain parts of the year would be helpful. It was a waste of my time to find it on the internet, now i have to spend more time driving there tomorrow to see if there actually ARE any activities on sunday. Would be much better if they fenced off about 3 or 4 acres for a dog park, and they DO have the room. Preferably they could put the dog park somewhere with mature trees for shade, access to a water pump for dogs to have water, a trash can for dog poop bags, and presto, a dog park. They were talking about a dog park since 2017, but nothing for the dogs yet. This would be the LEAST expensive project Elk City could do.
