Not really sure if people are reviewing the same Flamingo Inn I stayed at, or they're delusional!! The room I stayed in was dirty and smelled. #119. Then when covers were pulled back on bed, lo and behold what did my eyes see? FLEAS! When I called the owner to come and see, firstly, he didn't understand what I was trying to say. He didn't understand what a flea was, I literally had to Google a photo of a flea, but he was still denying that his motel had fleas! He offered us another room, we checked it, ok. We started to gather our belongings, and he LITERALLY STARTED TO REDO THE BEDS AND STRAIGHTEN UP THE ROOM TO GIVE TO THE NEXT PERSON!!!!!!!!!! I WAS SO TAKEN ABACK, I WANTED A REFUND SO WE COULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. But he said, VERY LOUDLY, NO REFUNDS!! Now, mind you we had driven 14 hrs that day, and in any other situations, we would have left regardless. But we are seniors, and stayed in room #117. Room had a very musty odor, which slowly dissipated when a/c got turned on, BUT it still smelled. Cobweb in corner by front door, stains on walls, a small toy was found by the table in between the beds, which tells me that the floor was not vacuumed, clock was so very dusty, big dead spider under sink cabinet, another indication floors had not been cleaned and the chain lock was broken. Worst sleep I ever had! CHEAP IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD! SHAME ON YOU MR. OWNER I think it is illegal to not change sheets and hang back towels that someone has used. I will be reporting you. If I could give ZERO...
Read moreThe first room we were given smelled like an unclean toilet, so I went back to the office to get another room. The second room hadn't been prepared (I had made a reservation online), so was stifling. We turned on the air conditioner and the refrigerator immediately, then went out to look for soap, shampoo, and conditioner because we didn't see until after we came back that there were packets on the vanity with conditioning shampoo and small bars of soap. The towels were acceptably absorptive, and the shower was all right.|When we returned from procuring the soap, shampoo, and conditioner, the room had cooled off a bit. We showered, then went out for dinner (we went to the Boomtown Grill, for which I wrote another review). When we returned, the room was sufficiently cooled and fairly comfortable. The air conditioning unit was noisy, but we had to leave it on overnight, anyway, since otherwise, it would become too hot and stuffy in the room overnight.|When checking in, I saw notices on the wall that the place had won awards for being a great place to stay. It raised my expectations. Those expectations were dashed thoroughly and...
Read moreMe and my husband stayed for 2 nights. Worst experience I’ve ever had. The first morning the door was banged on at 9:30 and at 10:40 being yelled at if we have towels. Me and my husband are up super late and he has to wake up early because of work. So I usually sleep Untill 11. Check out morning, at 8:50 the door was banged on, I ignored. An hour later again. And then at 10: 30 again, I then told the lady I’m coming and I’ll be out soon and checkout is at 11. For the next 30 minutes the lady was rushing me out saying “hurry hurry my husband is painting the floor” I was all the way on the other side so I had a few minutes and I did not need to be rushed to leave. So I left at 10:50 and she took my key card because the office was closed. Why is the office closed during check out time? So I gave her my card and she immediately went in and folded her arms and the looked back at me in my car. NEVER GO HERE the front desk was rude to my husband when we first came, front desk was rude to me when I asked for towels, he asked very personal things about my life when I did. Overall...
