We've purchased many pieces from Unclaimed Freight in the last 6 months. No problem with ordering, but delivery & whoever pulls the merchandise all should be fired. We had missing parts to our bed frame so Steve, from Watertown store, brought out a bed frame for us to use. Our couch was damaged in delivery because the guy shoved a big couch, table, back of couch & 3 people in the elevator of our apartment building. They didn't send out side chair & table as scheduled because of the damaged couch being replaced & miscommunication on everything supposedly being sent on the same day. Then they send out the wrong color side chair another time. Steve tried to have them send out the right chair to the store and they couldn't even do that correct. They didn't send anything. Finally we were in Sioux Falls, and we had Steve get in touch with this incompetent group in the warehouse/delivery and we picked up the side chair ourselves. Steve was so apologetic throughout this because of the delays and problems. He also got me a gift card for Starbucks for my inconvenience which I thought this would be appropriate. We love doing business with Unclaimed Freight in Watertown because they are friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with, but someone needs to get the warehouse/delivery problems straightened out before people stop doing business with them. There are so many complaints about deliver through reviews and my personal conversations with people that the home office management need to get this situation straightened out. If it wasn't for our local Unclaimed Freight people we would go to some place else to purchase furniture, but for now we won't. Training for customer service would be a nice start for them I feel. The warehouse/delivery people need to remember it is our purchases that pay their wages and word of mouth is the number one way to help or...
Read moreWe are your typical furniture customer, searching for the best selections and best pricing in the Area. We met Jim at Unclaimed Freight and Furniture and he has become more than a sales associate, but an advisor and a friend. An advisor in home furnishings without the undue pressures. Jim is very courteous, incredibly knowledgeable, authentically genuine, and always friendly. Jim is a straight shooter and will be explicitly honest with you; not a typical sales-dog trying to push inventory. Jim has become a friend in the business. I go to him when we are looking for any furniture matters, from our living room seating, to a theatre seating arrangement to bedroom furniture (mattresses to night stands to dressers and chests), for our kitchen or formal dining room sets. Jim knows the products he sells. This matters more to us than having a larger selection. And Unclaimed Freight and Furniture has always treated us very well and even coached us on getting the best pricing. Lastly, Jim treats you with respect and compassion. He listens with the intent to understand, not to respond or just sell something. Jim provides insights and enlightens us with unforeseen obstacles, hurdles or pitfalls. Jim sees the bigger picture, getting you in on products that will allow you to build on your purchases, so that you can purchase items as you can afford them. Jim builds relationships and earns your trust. That's what we love about Jim and Unclaimed Freight and Furniture. Thank you Jim for all your help, foresights, and patience.. Looking forward to our next conversation and...
Read moreI went to unclaimed because we bought a couch through the store in Fargo last spring and liked dealing with them. Now we are in Watertown and so when we wanted new bedroom furniture we went to their store here. It has been an absolute nightmare. Megan sent all of our furniture to the wrong state so the initial delivery was about four weeks later than it should have been, it took two and a half months to get the bed. When they brought the bed it was defective, five different times I have been told either by the manager or by Megan that the manager will call me and he hasn’t. On top of it they offered us $35 for all of the screw ups and we spent over $2,200. Even the delivery drivers have told us that they don’t have these problems with the other stores, just this one. Today they said that the salespeople at the Watertown store don’t know what they are doing and order a lot of furniture wrong. It’s pathetic, I’m most likely going to send it all back since I’ve been waiting for 9 days for the manager to call me to get this straightened out and the dimwit can’t...
