Lyon County Fairgrounds, Anderson building — Attraction in Emporia

As a 4-h parent, leader and alumni lyon county 4-H is one of the best things lyon county hosts and we love that we are lucky enough to have our own fair grounds within the city limit. Parking can be a challenge especially when there's grandstand events. However its definitely worth it especially since we are a free fair to come on the grounds, you can come visit the animals and Anderson building for 4-h and open class when the entries are in place I hope that next year we have an even bigger fair and maybe more members in my club I grew up in. It may be my last one as a leader but definitely can't beat being part of...

I came out to look at the patio. Some members of a local organization asked us at Complete Works to join them at the Anderson building to discuss a project they have in mind. It's a great place for large gatherings. There is a large space for parking, most of it on gavel, that is well maintained. In fact the whole of the fairgrounds are cared for by a group of people who are dedicated to the promotion of farming, ranching and a good time with family and friends. Thanks Lyon...

This was a good place for our visits to Emporia. We did have to work off 15amp but that was not a major issue. The shower situation was a little awkward but we have a shower in our camper, so this was not a major problem. If your in town for the Unbound gravel event, it is the place to stay. It's close to all kinds of restaurant and you can easily ride your bike...
