We have used Beckers for over 20 years probably closer to 30 for our washers and dryerās. Michelle has always provided wonderful upfront service, information and guidance. Unfortunately Beckers is no longer the friendly family owned business of the past. Recently I needed a new washer and was directed to a GE high efficiency washer with its 90 day warranty and credit return. I specifically wanted a washer that could handle heavy loads such as a queen / king blanket. This was bought prior to to holidays a busy time of travel for us so not too much laundry was done at this time. Regular loads of clothes washed as expected. Then over New Years holiday we had guests and after they left I noticed when washing a heavy load of towels and sheets that the washer made a squeaking sound while spinning. This also happened washing the blankets. It was only occurred on the heaviest loads. I checked on the warranty as I had to leave town for care of my elderly parents. When I came back I called Beckers twice to confirm the warranty expiration date and let them know that I wanted to return it and replace it. I did not like the high efficiency product. The water restriction requires extra rinses and spins which in my opinion did not provide any improvement in cleaning or savings. I was told where to take the washer for return. On the day of the return 8 days post expiration the warehouse shop manager / new owner said they would repair it but not offer a credit as it was too close to the warranties lapse time. This was all relayed through his assistant who bless her her heart had to deal with my surprise and ire. I told her I understood that she was only the messenger and that I would like to speak to her manager.. At the same time I called Michelle at Beckers store to again confirm the purchase agreement of credit return. Long story short I never did meet the Manager/ owner but Michelle agreed to give me credit towards a different washer with the understanding that this newer washer would only have 7 days of warranty on it. Which is what was left on the original purchase and there would be no refund of money if the new washer was of lesser price - which it was. I probably lost about $200.00 on my trade in. My recommendation is buy new or buyer BEWARE! if you use the Beckers of 2023 present day ownership is not customer friendly as it was in the past. For another $250.00 I could gotten a new washer. Also Beckers is not elder friendly. My husband and I in our late 60ās had to do all our own lifting and moving of the product. In store and at the warehouse. We have a truck so we did not need delivery. There are other reviews regarding delivery charges in here. I am only giving the two starās because of Michelle. Otherwise this is a one star...

I have owned one used Kenmore stack-able washer in my life. It lasted the last12yrs and longer with the previous owners.
In August of 2015 we purchased a stack-able washer dryer from Becker Appliance with one yr warranty. During the removal and delivery of the unit my flooring, trim, and walls were damaged.
It took much effort and months for the owner to even contact me. TO DATE, THE OWNER OF COMPANY, JOHN, HAS NOT RECTIFIED THE SITUATION.
Mid March, the unit that was purchased from Becker Appliance in August 2015, broke down. āTheirā warranty people stated that they had wondered how the machine had even passed inspection. That it should have never passed inspection.
Asked Michelle for refund. We were refused.
A 2nd unit was delivered and more damage was caused to my walls the end of March 2016. This machine had electrical issues along with water surging out if the unit when not in use.
A 3rd unit was delivered the beginning of April 2016. This unit makes sounds from the washer like a barring, belt issue, electrical sounds when machine is not running, and the dryer has not dried a load of clothes, yet heats my home to over 80 degrees and burnt 3 of my fingers. For safety purposes, this unit was unplugged completely within 48hrs of it being installed.
Sent 2 emails asking what to be done... No response. Then called for a service appointment.
A warranty personnel came out. He denied anything wrong with the unit even though it was leaking as I pointed out in front of the warranty personnelās eyes and which I did not know until the unit was opened up and being looked at. As he was wiping what I was pointing out, he continued to deny there was a leak. During the appointment, he was distracted by text messages and even made a phone call. He then went to close out the appointment with not even checking on the dryer or electrical issues. I called the company. I was told the owner was out of town and that management would be calling me that afternoon. TO DATE NO ONE CONTACTED ME.
My warranty is up in a few months.
I am wondering if Becker's Appliance are getting factory rejects that they are passing around until the warranties expire and people are stuck with faulty dangerous machines and then having to figure a way to pay out once again for another unit. NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY FROM BECKER AGAIN .
3rd machine was removed, refund for unit was given minus delivery. No one has dealt with damages to my home.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BECKER APPLIANCE nor recommend AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. I will always share my experience with others about this company. Let the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe mark of a fair company is that they sell you decent items that may or may not have longevity. The mark of a good company is that they sell good products, and perhaps have a warranty that they honor and make repairs to the equipment that they sell. The mark of an EXCELLENT company is that they not only sell good equipment, and also have an excellent warranty AND occasionally help a customer out when things go awry.
We have used Becker appliance for our needs for many years now, nearly 15 years in fact. Some time ago we had a problem with our washing machine and it tool some time to fix it. Becker rose to the occasion like an EXCELLENT company should and offered us a discount to bring our business back. THAT's the mark of an excellent company
So we went and bought a refrigerator from them, one that my wife had wanted for awhile. Then when that fridge developed problems a year later Becker not only rose to the occasion but did what EXCELLENT companies do. They literally took our fridge left us a replacement, and rebuilt the one we bought. Not repaired it, REBUILT IT. I'm familiar with the problem that the fridge had and there's no other way to repair it but to rebuild it which take many hours and a shop to complete. And this was outside of the warranty period by that time.
Becker had us a little worried when the washing machine problem arose but then knocked it out of the park with our fridge problem. Isn't that worth a 5 star review?
There is NO company that makes perfect appliances, to this day the problems associated with certain modern brands sold new are abysmal. Warranties are necessary in the modern world, everything that is made for the masses is made with built in obsolescence. Your going to have problems and I accept that.
A company that stands by their products is a GREAT company. A company that stands by their used products is an EXCELLENT COMPANY.
I hope that Becker appliance is around for many years to come because whenever I hear of someone having a problem with a washer or dryer or dishwasher..... I say to them. Go get one...
